Tennessee :-)

I could go for this one, and I'm not even an official member. :)

I say either use the same rectangular dimples on the other Provape Limited Edition end caps or just do a plain, smooth design. If people go for the writing on it, I suggest stretching the spacing of the letters out to cover the full circle and keep it very subtle. It is a tiny space, just over 1/8 of an inch in height, say 5/32 or 4mm.

l u m e n s e e s t o t u s

Of course, there should be extra space between the words......

According to Google, "We're out of cheese" :D

It's engraved on my work bench. I figured that the people of the future would find it & think it was so much classier because it had some mysterious inspirational phrase in Latin engraved on it... and then they'd translate it. It was a choice between "We're out of cheese" & "Do these pants make my ... look big?"

I think we have a winner. I'm still not sold on the LST, but I like that you took my suggestion to mark the year on it. Perhaps we can convince ProVape to let us do a yearly design "Provarinati" cap. (collect them all!)
Now it just needs one of these added:

ProvarinatiPrime_zps7b997c1b.jpg

and they will need to be trimmed. The only problem spots I see are the little points on the v/n, where they almost touch the loop of the "a," and the "a" itself, where the loop almost touches the vertical.

I guess it comes down to "Do we want the lettering raised and the background engraved? or do we want the lettering engraved?" I think the lettering raised would be more readable, but at the expense of durability. The letters could be damaged more easily.

Thoughts?

Edit: Apparently I don't have the Sans Serif Font in my version of Photoshop, so the LST was replaced with another font, which does not look as good.

@MonsterKenny, the vector artwork is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qp2ypj968t8jm83/'PROVARINATI' vector artwork.svg

The vector design can be viewed and edited in several drawing programs, including:
* Adobe Illustrator
* Corel Draw
* Inkscape (free from http://inkscape.org/download/)
* and many others.

...none of which I have.

imo, everything engraved. With all the time and effort y'all have put into it, would definitely go for "durability". :thumb:

I like both of them, but I would prefer the first one, engraved not raised.

Do we get a choice on raised or engraved? I'd rather go with all engraved as then it can be blackened and the letters will show up. With raised, it might fall over more often.

The outer rim of the cap would be raised (not engraved) if everything that was engraved was blackened it would look something like this.

The vent holes could go in the recessed (blackened) part.

I like this, the difference in contrast between the two makes it more eye catching IMHO. So excited, gonna have 4 on order right away!

I used the "ProVarinati" with the knobs, since that was the hi-res I got from your latest PDF, but I like it better without. The LST font is Tacoma, two layers to make it bold.

Did they specifically ask for a vector file? Lots of people don't have a program to open it. The only time I send vector files is when the product will be silk screened. For print items I send my printers .jpg files for images; .gif for all test; and .psd layers if we're still working on it.

Wasn't picturing the blackening, and I like it either way - but that is pretty bada$$.
