How about more efficient electronics that can power the device for much longer between charges? That would be very sweet.

I've mentioned earlier some of the other "practical" and cosmetic things I would mind seeing -- but if the internals had a broader range for some of the higher wattage vapers AND was more efficient. WOW.

From what I've read, the ProVari is one of (if not THE) most efficient regulated vaping device out there. Depending on how clean the threads and contacts are, it is 90-95% efficient. Only 5-10% of the battery's energy is wasted.

How old are your batteries? And what brand of battery are you using?

I'm not complaining, but just having fun speculating.

Pete's interview mentioned something about being able to take camping for a weekend and not have to take extra batteries. Ages ago I read that there was new electronics in the works.

So -- I chose to hope for more efficient instead of larger batteries. Some have mentioned a 26650 battery tube in their "wants". Plus, if there really was one hiding in a pocket....it would be tidy, not huge.

Extra power, I don't need. (I use my v1, v2 and v2.5 without a hitch). It appears some vapers want that as well as VW method, so the two could be a WOW.

My own guess is that it's going to be a total surprise for pretty much all of us This is based on 1) how long it's taking and 2) the fact the P3 is not a replacement for the current Provari. (As stated elsewhere in this forum.) That's the thing that makes me think it isn't just another tube mod with more power/bells and whistles.

So a box mod, something programmable, or even something no one else has really come up with? Provape was a game changer with DC output voltage back in the day and I'm thinking they're going to come up with something equally revolutionary this time. Something that's not an improved Provari as we know it, but something else. Right now APVs are still in their infancy. Everyone but Provape and maybe the DNA/SX chips are using very primitive electronics. But that flat signal out of a Provari with its efficiency is amazing.

I'm betting the P3 is going to be just as amazing and something completely different from the Provari. Just like the Provari was a huge change from the Provape-1, but even more so. Because things like mechanical changes, increased power or simple arithmetic changes (like VW) wouldn't require months of retooling and safety studies. Especially that last really, really makes me wonder what they're going to come out with.

I've been talking about PipeVari for a while now. Apparently someone thought I was serious & Kenny had to pop in to say it wasn't going to be a pipe. Party pooper. :glare:

I'm afraid we're going to have to agree to disagree, Mr. Ozwald. That would be a YAWNER for me.

But that depends on whether you were serious about the party-pooper part ;-)

PipeVari was my long running joke. He was a party pooper cause he ruined the joke for someone who actually bought it. :p

Some interesting thoughts! I would love to see a semi-box design, two flat sides with round edges for comfort. Programable, now this is where it could get interesting. I had thought of having separate user selectable watt/amp ranges would be a big advantage. Have a regular range to fire atties such as carto's, clear's, factory built coils. And offer a higher watt/amp range that the user could select for firing RDA, RBA type more advanced setups. A lot has happened since 2010, I am working my way through the 400 plus page thread up in the stickies to get an idea of how the ProVari came into being and progressed, and to get a sense of what folks were using in general in those times. So many advancements have happened in atomizers and power delivery units since then that Provape has to be on to something big this time around. It will be cool when they finally give us at least a teaser of what is to come...

Heck, if I had my druthers, I'd just like to be able to get into the thing with bluetooth. ;)

Nothing more than that. Just want access to the sensors and the DAC. Is that too much to ask? Just kidding. A device like that would need incredible safety interlocks just to keep people from blowing it up right and left. Even if I built something like that, I would never sell it. But for someone who really knew what they were doing, another mixed hardware/software person, it would be awesome.

Looked at the eVic and eVic Supreme, but didn't want to spend more on it than a Provari when they have the expected lifespan of any other mod. I mean I understand the bathtub curve, but when senescence starts to rear its ugly head at under a year, nevermind. I'll pass. I want my mod to outlast its first pair of batteries!

I'm currently running my Mini 2.5 with a SM KFL+ @ 4.0V and a 1.18ohm build.

That's 13.5 Watts or actually a bit more.

I could push it up to the amp limit, by running @ 4.2V, and be around 14 Watts.

I'm okay with that.

If they gave us a little higher amp limit - all to the good, but I'm just not jonesin' that bad for it.

I like the drip well too, although: I'm a bit old school there I would guess. If I need the flush look the trim rings available do the job just fine. Tanks just aren't my thing. They don't give the vape that dripping does imo. Dripping I'm usually in the range of 10.5 Watts total power.

There are devices out there already for blowing 40, 80, 100+ Watts.

I have Zero interest in a ProVari that does that. Zero.

Clicky buttons. Hate. Do not want to see one of those. At All.

Guess I'll be one of those peeps keeping the 2.5 economically viable.

Interested to see what they come out with in any case.

YMMV.
