Hmm, I may have missed something in this thread. Sorry that it put you in a bad mood. I thought the point was not that Provari is junk. Saying that is just silly. I'd understand arguments of expensive (it is), ugly (it's subjective), but noone should really argue with Provari's build quality or accuracy.

I thought the point is that it's a bit behind times as far as new functions go. I, for example, would love to pay about 200 bucks to a US company for a good quality accurate and safe PV with an easy interface, voltage and power regulation and output stabilization. I don't know of one in existance, so I'm just waiting and hoping Provape will make one.

I understand that some people love Provari as it is. I don't share their opinion, but to each their own. I'm just hoping that Provape will add more models (rather than replace) to their line-up in order to get more market.

But this is just it, behind the times of what? It doesn't have a puff counter? It doesn't have VW? But yet it cycles at 800mhz, has the most stable voltage control of any mod on the market? It holds the voltage at .5 volts rather than cycling between 6v an 0 at who know's what rate to maintain voltage? Because when I set the voltage and vape, no matter what the ohms of the carto, it's going to give me that voltage until the led blinks at me?
The ONLY thing on the market that even comes close is the DNA boards, which something for them is in the works for those that want VW. But right now, the only thing that comes close to it's consistency is the Darwin.
I keep nearing time and again it's obsolete, but I've yet to see anything that compares to it in consistency. Not even getting into durability, just constancy. Who else is using an 800mhz regulator? Who else is keeping the voltage within .5v?
All I'm hearing is "puff counter" "VW" it has this feature or that feature. But in the end, this is all the same old technology, rehashed with more bells and whistles, nothing improved. It's still 37mhz boards, it's still switching from 6v to 0v to maintain the setting you want.
That's what I say, it can't fix my hemorrhoids and doesn't have streaming or Bluetooth, it has to be junk!

I second that I might need a wifi connection too!

I have both, and prefer using the EVIC. Best $65 I've spent on e-cig gear.

The Provari can go above 5V (using IMR batteries only). I have never ran it over 5v, so that advantage is moot for me.

I like the lighter weight, ease of adjustment, display info, ability to change tube/top cap size and colors, and most of all, the auto fire feature of the EVIC. Hated the slippery and cheap looking 18650 aluminum tube that it came with. Much better look and feel with the rubberized 18350 tube. Also have a chrome tube and top cap on the way.

No knock on the Provari. It's a solid, dependable American made device.

Yes, but didn't you spend over $65? Can you read the screen outside? I'm not knocking the eVic, I own one.

But that's fine! I'm not knocking the Evic! It just didn't work for my needs, I'd kill one in a matter of weeks come summertime! I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just comparing what it does to what the Provari does. They say the Provari is behind the times, my argument is there isn't anything that comes close to what it does yet.
But it's a tired debate, and I'm sick of it, so get whatever you want, and be happy.

Nope. $65 to my door. To be fair though, I did spend $9 for a 18350 tube, and another $15 over the weekend on the chrome top, tube, and bottom cap.

Agreed, screen sucks in daylight. Of course the tradeoff is I can glance at the Evic before heading out and know the battery status, atty ohm, watts, and volts I have it set at.

I sense a "why do people hate provari owners" thread brewing.

I emailed provape to see if they will custom make me a provari with a puff counter but I forgot to ask about vw darn it. Oh well at least I didn't forget the most important part.

Sorry, as I said earlier, I'm in a foul mood! My wife's been gone to long, I'm trying to take care of my son when I do good to take care of myself and we both really want her to come home, but she pays the bills and work calls, so we deal.

BUT, I'm also tired of threads trashing why the Provari is so expensive and "why wont it lick my ...." or whatever the need of the week is.
If you want the "latest and greatest fancy whazoo, every gizmo I could have ever dreamed of", get the Evic, it's as close as it gets. But don't cry when it doesn't work after you drop it a few times.
Want something more durable? Get the SS Zmax, notice I said SS? I said this because the brass chrome plated tube isn't any better than the Evic. I've also shown, earlier in this thread how much money you will save going that route.
Want something middle of the road? Get the Vamo, I just hope the button doesn't stick or quit working on your unit. Yeah, google that one for some reading.
So, the Provari is junk, the others are overpriced, just buy an EGO spinner or twist for $20 and continue to throw them away, because they are disposable after all, and hey, everybody can shell out $20, no matter how many times they have to! As long as it doesn't come as one lump sum, it's easy!

That is the ultimate question for any product. Will it lick my ....?

I do agree though. The provari was worth every penny I spent on it. Best vaping related purchase that I made. I pretty much gave up on buying any Chinese made pv. I doubt there are any that will last more than a year. If they do I'd be very surprised.
