I am just messing around in here. Trolling a little to be honest. Somebody that appears to have a provari started it by mentioning a puff counter on the 3rd post here which is clearly a shot at an evic and will get people talking. For somebody new to mods and no gear at all is an evic at retail of $104 with in device charging and a pass through a better value than a provari with batteries and charger for more than double a better value. There really is no clear cut answer but people post like there is. Just because a few people have had issues keeping their evic from breaking doesn't mean it's junk because mine is 3 months old and performs like the day I got it. But every time I read something about an evic and someone just starts talking about a puff counter like its the only thing it does it just irks me a little because its a ridiculous argument. I like my evic and I have not used the puff counter one time. I don't even think my tracking software works to be honest and I have never tried to mess with it to fix it.

I like the vw because I use several heads on different novas and can change seemlessly. I like the in device charging and pass through option. I like to fool around with the vape train(guess that's what it's called) although I don't use it all the time. I love using the wheel to change my watts. I love the ohms and volts showing on the front screen for me. Again I would probably forget about the puff counter if it wasn't brought up as a slam attempt on here every time someone discusses the evic although maybe it will be handy one day. But it's also the only pv I have ever used. Different wants is what drives the market so I am glad everybody buys different stuff. It makes new stuff come out.

That is the ultimate question for any product. Will it lick my ....?

I do agree though. The provari was worth every penny I spent on it. Best vaping related purchase that I made. I pretty much gave up on buying any Chinese made pv. I doubt there are any that will last more than a year. If they do I'd be very surprised.

Again, I appolgize, I think it's time I went to bed!
But I assure you, an American made VW mod is in the works, so maybe we can make everybody happy? (I can dream can't I?)

Hey it's no problem at all. We are good bro.

I really want a good dna 20 mod. Maybe a nice metal compact box mod. Big mah and nice feel in the hand. Sign me up for that. Speaking of box mods I was debating getting that Itaste mvp for on the go considering the battery life then I hear the reports of the battery charger port going bad. Another fail..

I'm very sorry, you are reading a lot of my negativity in this thread, this is a topic that is hashed out regularly and really, it's a dead horse!
In a nutshell, YES, the Provari is a better device. NO, most people wont notice the difference! NO, the Vamo, Evic, Zmax and so forth, aren't junk!
The Evic offers a lot of innovative features that let techno geeks play and experiment with.
The SS Zmax (note the SS part!) has a solid body, a good reputation and seems pretty durable.
The Vamo is the middle of the road with the above, it's a decent mod, but has some issues with the fire button that concern me, other's are happy as a clam with it.
All three of these also offer variable wattage control, which some think is important, and that's fine.
They all offer their place, they all do the same thing, just in different ways.
Nothing wrong with any of them, and that's it, what works for me, isn't going to work for everyone else! I want something that is durable, works around welders, can roll down the drive and take falls. In this category, for my needs, it really came down to the SS Zmax or Provari. I chose the mini Provari, someone else will have another set of needs and choose differently. That doesn't mean either of us are wrong, we just have different needs and expectations.

Careful what you ask for, it may happen sooner than you think! As I said, it's in development as we speak. This and another idea have me very excited! Doubt I'll use either one, as ironic as that sounds, I don't have much need for VW, but the first one is what you describe, the second, I hope to be groundbreaking!

I'm not so sure people are knocking the Evic as a PV, but more a knock on the manufacturers' belief that we as consumers will find those features of a puff counter and software useful and possibly a deal maker in making their decision on a PV. I personally don't understand how either feature would truly benefit my vaping experience. I only see them as "gadgets" or what we fondly call "bells & whistles" which to some inexperienced customers might sound or look nice to have but in pratical experience have limited or zero usefulness. I could be wrong here but I would rather they put their attention on increasing the durability, consistancy, practicality, and better electronics of their products.

And I'm not just knocking the Chinese business philosophy. American manufacturer Blue is just as guilty of these business tactics. Blu's marketing of their pocket charger that blinks a blue light when in the same proximity of another Blu user is totally pointless as far as I am concerned, but I guess I am not a part of their target base...the new generation of Facebook, Twitter, et al social networks.

Are you serious??? I don't have a TV or get let out of my cage very often, so I hadn't heard about this! Ooooh the possibilities! It could bring a whole new dimension to stalking!

(Of course, that feature would be unnecessary with a ProVari. We can see each other from a distance and just know...)

And Bluetooth, with streaming video, and something that can sooth my hemorrhoids, that would be sweet!

You should get an Evic, the design is perfect for umm....insertion.

Maybe you could even put some Preparation H inside the atomizer. :)

That's why I asked about the $65. However, in my case, not being able read the screen can be a problem. I have had my eVic turn itself off when changing tanks.

This morning, I changed tanks and while it didn't turn off, it changed from displaying OHMs on the home screen to puff count. This type thing simply should not happen, ever.

Nope. $65 to my door. To be fair though, I did spend $9 for a 18350 tube, and another $15 over the weekend on the chrome top, tube, and bottom cap.

Agreed, screen sucks in daylight. Of course the tradeoff is I can glance at the Evic before heading out and know the battery status, atty ohm, watts, and volts I have it set at.

Provape explained why they don't use a mechanical button. Mechanical buttons corrode.

Imagine a ProVari in a full mech mod that would be awesome! they should challenge the caravella ggts ea or some other top mods in the market and ill be buying it even if its above $300!:screwy:
