So I just quit smoking beginning of Oct... almost 1 month smoke free... love vaping, I wish I found this earlier.

I'm also a little crazy when it comes to new hobbies, about 2.5k deep in vaping crap now, still no provari.

I get that it's quality, but to be honest, I don't have the attention span to keep a mod that long... Plus, how long until there's a VW provari (that I would buy). If one of my mods breaks I'll just replace it.

I mostly didn't jump because I didn't like the look of it, although like another poster here, I like the black ones which is making me look closer. Am I going to find this thing vapes better than the VW mods out there or the dna-20's...?

If I only cared about vape quality and not warranty, is it worth buying one? I didn't think so earlier, but with all the positives, I'm at the point where I might buy one just to see.

Any advice.... I don't care how long it will last me... I'm only looking for a quality vape, and I didn't think a VV Battery would make a difference over the mods I already own or have ordered.

If you're getting your back up over this post your reading it too negative and I apoligize, just noticed that everyone I've asked about the provari so far starts telling me how well it's made... etc. I don't really care about that, so that aside whats left?

TIA

That's where I actually have a problem with suggesting a Provari to someone new. It tends to take the "experimentation" out of the process. I think if a Provari had been my first real PV, I may very well have never advanced beyond the very basic heads that were available at the time. We learn at least as much from our failures as we do from success.
Yes I know that wouldn't be true for everyone, but it would be for some. My fear has always been "product obsolescence". For example my favorite atomizer has become somewhat dated, and I could easily see why Joyetech would choose to stop producing it. That wouldn't be any fun if it was the only way I knew how to get a nice vape.

I have to disagree, And yes I know you did say "Yes I know that wouldn't be true for everyone" ... I learn very fast and cross reference all information and even if everyone dislikes something I still experiment with it, anything that seems of interest to me I will buy, Such as the Smoktech Drunker tank... I have yet to see a good review on it yet I'm intrigued by it, so I ordered one, Just to see if I can make it work better.

I absolutely agree. I was vaping for a few months before I even got a Twist. During that time I learned how to drip and adjust the power buy changing resistances - all kinds of useful goodies. When my 6 months tobacco-free date approached I started looking at mods. At that point I had a firm grasp of what they did and what I wanted out of a device. I think I appreciated the ProVari more since I had something to compare it to. I don't regret anything I have purchased, but I also took it slow. eGo, then Twist, then ProVari (Now I have shiny toyitis, but I'm not counting that). It seems to me that many of the folks who complain about how much money they spent on junk, did buy junk. But that was their choice.

I don't need to hit myself with a hammer to know it will hurt... lol

Patented Acuset processor made in house by Provape ( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provape/289525-provari-made-usa.html ) assures consistant regulated voltage within 1% accuracy to your atomizer from the moment you install a freshly-charged battery until it needs to be replaced. This processor is expensive, the heart of the Provari, and is made military grade. It's PWM uses 800hz as opposed to all the cheaper Chinese's 33.3hz PWM chips, which allows for a smoother vaping experience.

Just head over to the Provari sub-forum and see what the new Provari owners say about how much better it vapes. They all say "smoother". The ProVape Team Interview

hmmm, I guess I'll get a mini at one point and write a review.... Honestly, I'm very skeptical. Although personally the evic is a disappointment for me... I love the looks and menu and functionality (especially in black), but I can't figure out why it doesn't vape like other devices..

e.g. If I set an ego-C to 3.8v and vape a viva nova tank... great vape... same tank on the evic, and it's different... it seems a little smoother (read less vape maybe), but not as much vapor.. it just seems week.. and if I turn it up to compensate it burns the juice... I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? or what the difference is, but it kinda sucks... and I so want to like it also.

hmmmm... I guess I'll have to provari my collection just because...

Anyone know of a vendor that sells provari's and accepts paypal, or are all provari's sold through the manufacturer's website.

See... now that's a reason to buy one for a gadget geek like me..... SOLD. Don't get me wrong, I buy things for quality, but with so many cool brass and SS mods coming from Greece and EU, the provari didn't stack up for me in that department.

Only question now is a way to buy one via PAYPAL.... (don't have to explain things purchased via balance... my secret money :)

I don't need to hit you with a hammer to know that has nothing to do with vaping. Back to vaping, everyone has their own path. For me, I like to understand how things work, or at least how they are suppose to work, so if I run into a problem I can figure out how to fix it. I'm just that sort of person. I learn best by starting at the beginning and moving up one step at a time. You apparently operate best by jumping straight in. We're different; that's cool. Some new members are like me, some new members are like you, that's why I am so vocal about paying close attention to what the OP is asking and how they are responding to your answers. It's important not to lose your audience.

Thanks for the review, OP...and to everyone else that is using the ProVari in this thread...while I puff on my MVP v1 with an iClear 30...it just makes me wonder ... how much better could it be if I break down and get 2 more 18650's and the indestructible mod known as the ProVari...you've all got me second guessing my Innokin product which has stood up to 4 drops on concrete from about 4 feet and still holding strong. If and when (more likely when) this mod breaks down...it's getting taken apart for my side project with a DNA20 board ;)
heading to provape now to check out pricing and accessories.
Damn it guys and gals, you may have converted another one.

You might consider getting verified and buying one off the classifieds.

I was also very skeptical. 200. for a tube? I got caught up in the hype of the Vamo, heard it had thread issues, but I bit. I treated it with kid gloves, but the threads started to wear 2 months in,then there was other issues, did I just have a lemon? I got the Provari and love it. I have only had it for 6 weeks. To answer your question on the VV/VW you can not tell a difference. I took the same carto tank fired it on my Vamo then on my Provari. Vape came out. NOW the taste and the consistency of the draw? Provari hands down. I went from an Ego to the Vamo,so there was no going back. I know it is hard to part with 200.00,I am the king of cheap, but once you vape from a Provari, you'll know what vaping is supposed to be like. I liken the Provari to my Tempurpedic,an investment. I spend 8 hours a day in bed,I want a comfortable sleep. It cost me 2000.00,but I sleep like a baby. I vape all day long. I needed something that would work,so I got the Provari.

If you don't like it, you can always sell it in the classys. They hold their value well.

Meant no offence... Sorry, was a joke... Gotta work on my humor...

But I love this thread, The OP seems to be a very observant person, I wonder if he's like me, I like to observe and fiddle with everything, I actual prefer things on the more complicated side which is perfect... Vaping and fiddling with my gear keeps my mind busy and away from analogs while at the same time figuring things out and helping others... who knew vaping was so cool!!!

I agree with everything everybody has said. I am a noob as well and my first device was a provari and I have to say like I said in another post that it was the best decision I ever made. I get frustrated sometimes with my tanks but the last thing I have to worry about now if my batter power. I wish I could find a tank as much as I love my provari.

Nice review man. I have been vaping for a while, and honestly never owned a high dollar device. Everyone swoons over the Provari, and I've always wondered why? What does it do that a mid priced mod doesn't? Built in USA (good but really $200?). I still push a button and inhale vapor the same way right?

Now you've got me curious. I also own an MVP, so reading a review from someone that has the same device I use exclusively now makes me think this is something I should look into. Honestly, I have always thought people praise the Provari the way they do because 'well I payed $200 for this device so it must be superior to everything else.'

If this site has taught me anything though, it's that I often have preconceptions that are totally wrong, and if the Provari blows what I'm using out of the water, I'd be crazy not to get one. I honestly have no complaints about the MVP, so I have to ask what I'm missing.

Yes, the Provari blows what you are using out of the water. The MVP V2 is a great APV at its price point and hard to beat as one of the top 5 or so best China Mods. The Provari, though, is a magnitude or two better, imho, and yes I have an MVP V2. Just got it. Probably will rarely use it though, but I'm a collector. I never bought the V1 though as Innokin thought the V1 didn't need an Ohm meter or variable wattage, and did have issues with buttons and threads. All that seems to be fixed on the V2 now. It's apples and oranges. If you cull throught the posts and dig out the facts, and forget the hype, you'll find about 20 reasons why this is the case, and not bias. I have no Provari bias whatsoever, and would buy a better APV in a second. It just is what it is.

- 2nd day even better than the first

- Stay tuned for my upcoming review of international Joytech price fixing

- stlHawk - Love my MVP. My main concern is the battery is not replaceable and it will one day die, probably when I need it the most.

- I second the concern about getting one of these might discourage experimentation. I did not mean to imply that this should be the only device you should own, but if you love vaping you need this device in your collection. Also the short journey was fun and makes me appreciate what I have. I will still use my vamo and MVP... I think
