So my 2.5 week old Provari 2.5 stealth mini randomly stops firing. I tried swapping batteries. It seems to bee getting worse. At first i could take a few drags, now I get 1 or 2. When it does it I can scroll through the menu but when i go to check the resistance it doesn't read it. The only way to reset it is to pull out the battery and do it all over again.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

If it won't read the ohms the coil/ atty of the delivery device could be going out or an inconsistent connection between the topper and 510 on the provari.
What delivery device are you using?
Sometimes folks tighten a device too tight and push the center pin of the topper upward, this makes for an inconsistent or no connection situation.

Could be time to do routine cleaning / maintenance.
Scrub the 510 connection until spotless with a qtip saturated in rubbing alchol or PGA.
Then clean the bottom cap and body threads spotless & shiny.
A small dab of Noalox on the body to bottom cap threads is a good idea.

Topwater Elvis and Train2 have some great advice, it would be helpful to know if this is limited to one topper or you have the same problem with more than one. Also might be helpful to know if you have another PV, and if you tried the topper on it and with what results.

This would help others to narrow down the problem. If it is the ProVari, being less than 3 weeks old it is under warranty.

When you check the ohm do you get an error code?

As a side...I thought I read that Noalox should only be used with good aluminum (which I'm sure Provari uses) and not to bother using it with cheaper metals?
Noalox is specifically made to help minimize oxidation of aluminum joints, but because of the suspended zinc particles, it also helps to act as a conductor when used on threaded joints of any material.

(Another side note - I don't have any aluminum bodied devices - I'm a stainless steel kinda guy - but I use a copper based anti-seize because of its conductivity).

I'm sure you checked with Provape also. I'd be curious as to what they said? Also, I'm hoping you reply hear with your results from these fine tips.

The ProVape-1 and ProVari are actually MADE and ASSEMBLED in the USA.

Parts - Machined right here in Monroe, WA. We use US-made stainless steel bar stock to produce the tubes, top caps, bottom caps, contact pins, etc. Everything is done on our machines locally. No outsourcing.

Bare Circuit Boards - Manufactured in Illinois. We do not purchase the circuit boards from China due to their poor quality. While the circuit boards are more expensive to produce in the USA; this is the heart of the system and it’s important to us that they are the best quality we can get. Each PCB is electronically tested before it ever sees components.

Electronic Components on Circuit Board – these are the only parts that might come from outside of the USA. Some of these parts are simply not made in the US, so we can’t get them from a US source, even though we would prefer to.

We use components from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and the USA.

Component assembly - Components are soldered onto the circuit boards at a facility outside Seattle, Washington. After getting components installed, the boards are tested several more times at our Monroe facility to ensure they are ready to ship. We test each one multiple times to give you the most reliable product you can get.

We don't cut any corners when it comes to quality control, testing, and component selection.
