Just a side note: I got a provari mini kit and it came with a protank 2 (not the protank 1 listed). I popped it on with the 2.5 head that came with it and got no airflow at all...tried switching out the head (not one of the extras that come w/ it) and still no air/vape. Luckily I had another pro2 to try on it....whamo!, great vape. I tried to figure out the difference between the two, but could discern none. Guess I'll keep the wonky one around for spare parts :).

Hey! I just noticed you are a fellow native of Richmond! What part of town are you in?

I live in"scott's addition" around Broad and Blvd. Nice to see a neighbor here :D. I tossed the base in the trash, so yes, I'll look into getting another (who sells them?).

I had the same issue with my full size kit that showed up yesterday. Here is what I did. When I am screwing the tank on the device I start to feel resistace a couple of turns prior to the tank bottoming out on the device so I leave about 1 or 2 hundreths of space, if your are firearms owner it is equivalent to the space between the cylinder and the forcing cone on a revolver. It works fine like this but now I think I am going to contact Provape to see if I can get a replacement base.

Just a follow-up: My protank 1 replacement bottoms came today, popped it on the protank 2 and tightened it down all the way. Fired it up annnnnd, voila! Great vape with just the right amount of pull...awesome! Thanks guys. Now, just one more week 'till I can order my IBtanked carto set-up and give that a shot.

PT2 has almost no air flow on the Provari. I ordered a V1 and sold my V2.

Have you given stand alone carto's (or a carto/tank) a try? I'm about to just give up on the protank altogether and use a stand alone carto on the provari until I order a tank. The carto gives a great vape and just needs to be filled now and again...no fussy connections, flooded heads or leaks...seems pretty amazing to me so far....just sayin' :D.
