May I ask, which one did he buy?

And may I ask, was your friend emailing you for any kind of assistance or just moaning?

And may I ask, if it were for assistance, did you actually attempt to help him or just fuel him with reasons to dislike the ProVari?

And may I ask, what current gear were you both comparing this mystery ProVari to?

But the Provari crowd seem to like using throwback equipment

Somehow....and based solely on your own post, I don't think you tried to help him!
I'm just gonna hazard a guess that you also think the ProVari crowd only use ProVari!

You may.

You may.

You may.

You may.

You may not get an answer tho. ;)

"Provari (arguments), outdated and overpriced overhashed, and still selling vocalized, somehow...."

If I'm walking down the street with a 1/2 dead Radius, where am I supposed to plug it in at?
Mobile power pack?[emoji14]But half dead means.....half full too, so you are still good to go :D

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping ;)

Pop into a bar that has one of those charging stations. Drink real slow or you will be comatose before the Radius is fully charged though....

Radius needs 2 amp charging or a quick release battery door. I only use my extreme m2l tanks on it because anything over 20 watts isn't a good experience. One can watch the battery gauge drop with every puff. Smooth chip, but not very efficient imo.

The first thing I check in troubleshooting is the power source.

Have you considered a different battery?

I use 25r. Exactly what Provape recommends. It's not a huge deal since I vape low watts most of the time but when I throw something on there at 25-30 watts it's brutal. I found the same thing with yihi chips as well though so I think evolv has spoiled me in that regard.

Same experience. Radius was ok as a tootle puffer but 30-35 watts and the battery was done for. All my 25R's come out of the same pile. Wasn't useful away from the house and I don't need another house mod so sold the Radius off and can't see buying another Provape product.

Yihi chips are much better with battery management but not perfect............

Because DNA chips are the king of battery management. My all day carry piece is a VT40 with DNA40 chip at 35w(non-TC). One battery, out of the same pile as the Radius had, will last my whole shift and more.

Plus the amp limits on the Radius made for a weak vape. Hated how the Radius just makes things up as it goes along. The Procyon looks like it would suit my needs but I can't see myself trusting Provape again after the Radius diaster.

So I don't say Provape never, not yet anyway. I say Provape................ unlikely. It looks like they are trying to make some newer generation stuff and some missteps along the way are bound to happen. But if they keep plugging away they may come up with something. Maybe a Procyon chip in a dual battery box at, well lets see the Procyon is 50w with one battery so 100w with two seems doable.

Why not try throwing a different one in there, just for S&G's?
