Yea have an infinity..too small. Considered the buzz but had already bought the infinity so that went out the window. Doesn't the provari sense the resistance as well?

yes it does and it also has the constant voltage regulator in it so from fresh batt to dead batt....... same hit consistantly...if you are a techy like me then go for the provari the Darwin is nice but its more like an apple computer it kinda does what you want but it does it in its own way... whereas the provari is more like a pc it does what you want and it does it exactly how you tell it to so if atties pop its your fault Darwin has a sealed batt compartment. so just like apple if you are ..... out of a place plug then your outta luck..the time limit on the provari is only limited to the amount of batteries you can carry.we all like to drip and one day I'm sure you will or want to..the Darwin does not have a sealed atty connector so a juice leak could fry your internal electronics and i doubt the two year warranty covers that but I'm not sure

I haven't read all the replies... But as a new Darwin owner, the BEST thing about this is never having to worry about the battery. Vape all day long, and not have to change batteries or worry about it going dead. From the time I get up til the time I go to bed, the battery meter only drops by 1/2. I'm sure I could actually go 2 days without a charge, but I don't push it. I just put it on the charger at when I go to bed and then go thru the next day without every worrying about a dead battery

I personally don't like the looks...........

From OP "I dont like the look of the darwin."

Landlord was the OP, NOT speedemon. And none of us responded about the "looks" as that is subjective. Our responses were simply to correct inaccurate information and answer questions on the Darwin's features. That's not being "fan boys".

+1 for ProVari. I've had mine a couple weeks now and it has been amazing! It's my first and only mod so I can't really compare, but the provari is everything it is hyped up to be and is totally worth the money and the wait. I got mine with 2x 18490 (standard sized) batts, and charger for $193 shipped. Provape is also a great company with amazing customer service.

I get about 6-8 hours off the smaller batt. I may get the 18650 extender cap some day, but swapping the battery out one time per day isnt exactly difficult. Easier than swapping ego batts since I dont even have to remove the atty.

The Darwin also seems to be an excellent PV and I had considered it before I bought my Provari. I like being able to change my own batteries and I didnt like the twisty arm either. Very minor things though, and Im sure if I actually had one in my hands I would revise my opinion. Its kinda like trying to choose between a Fararri and a Lamborghini lol.

Plus I really LOVE the batteries on the Darwin. Being able to go at least 24 hours on one charge is liberating.

i go a day and untill about 4 or 5 pm, 31 to 35 hours..., the next day on a single 18650 aw highdrain in a provari at a 3.7ohm atty at 4.6v...and then i pop it out and put in a fresh one.. no teather no oh its charging...only limit on run time is how many batts you can carry

That's good that you get that long, but it doesn't seem to be the norm. I think the ProVari is an excellent PV but I think on average the Darwins battery will last a good bit longer on a charge for most. I decided to run a "battery charge test" of my own on the Darwin starting Thursday morning. I'm at 17 hours currently and the battery indicator is showing 3/4 charge right now. I usually hit the sack about 12:30 and will plug it in tonight. So I will be getting 27 hours at that point. I work from home so I vape constantly. As long as I can get 17 hours on a charge, then I will never have to worry about a dead battery at an inopertune time.

All good points JTman, especially: "Its kinda like trying to choose between a Fararri and a Lamborghini lol". I think they are the two top PV's on the market currently.

Yeah, the "look" weighed in on my decision. I liked the look of the Provari much better. But when I weighed the likes vs dislikes of each model, the Darwin won it for me as the other features out-weighed the looks. Now that I have it, the look has grown on me. If the Provari had had all the same features, my decision would easily have gone to the Provari.

Point is- these Ferrari's & Lambo's are expensive. You really need to look at all the factors and decide what you can live with and without.

Vermonster, I think the point is that, although the OP stated the looks of the Darwin were not to his taste, sometimes other features may outweigh that. And since inaccurate information was being thrown around, a few people tried to set the facts straight so an INFORMED decision could be reached by the OP. Sounds to me the fanboy is you.

Both PV's are excellent! I just purchased a Darwin due to a few features that were lacking in the provari for me. A major one for me was not needing to carry batteries with me anymore! We all have different lifestyles and I am rarely, if ever, away from my car or computer or wall outlet for more than 2 days. This makes the Darwin the winner for me. If I could buy a secondary PV right now, it would be the provari.

Both are great, I have both and will not be parting with either.

The Darwin: People who don't have one or never held one realy don't have a clue.
The batery last way more than a day. You treat it like your cell phone and charge it
at night and never worry about it dying.
And performance is unmatched while being easy to operate. The folding arm is
Actualy great. It acts as an on off and makes it fit in your pocket comfortably.
Is built tough.

The ProVari: is great too, flippin through menus is a lot easier than it sounds
Does have catchcup! And is also built like a tank.

Wouldn't worry about battery lasting more than a year....there will be a new mod out!
Do yourself a favor order a provari now and buy a darwin next week! Youl be happy
with either! So get both
