The tatroe base comes with extenders to use a 650 in a mini if I'm not mistaken. Or it's an option anyways.

Here's the options listed on one website:

Available configurations:
Standard Provari - 18500, 18650 with extension ring
Provari Mini - 18350, 18500 with extension ring.

I use it on my standard Provari with an 18650. I use the "twins" on my mini when I want to use an 18650.

On a mini you can use a 18650 with the Provari extension cap and a Tatroe ring, or 2 tatroe rings and the standard battery cap.

Here's a neat trick: I received a sample tin from Halo. The tin has a foam insert with holes for the bottles. I took out the juices, removed the foam, applied a few folded up pieces of tissue paper to the bottom of the tin, and re-inserted the foam. This works as a perfect holder for the Provari.

Well, I'm doing 24 mg and I never could figure out how much juice I vape but it has to be quite a bit. I switch to 18 mg in the afternoon with an occasional 24 mg hit. Sometimes I chain vape 12 mg in the evenings. I finally had my last ciggie on May 18th and I am still getting used to having no cigs even though I was only smoking one or maybe 2 cigs a day for quite awhile. The last couple of days I didn't even think about going to get some cigs but I still miss them a bit. vaping is working, however, and I don't feel like I can't live without my cigs

I picked up smoking at the age of 13. Started on Newports (stealing them from my dad), switched to Red 100's around the age of 16 the taste was more enjoyable, then to red shorts (because 100's would fit huge in my pockets) then to 777s, then to p-funks(parliments) because people wouldn't wanna bum any off me, p-funk menthols, then to camel crushs (oh hey look a cool ball to crack open), to smooths around 18, camel wides then shortly moved to camel menthols when they came out. Was on them until most recent age 23. The reason me buying a mini silver/green was the milestone. I told myself if I were to own one, I wouldn't let the money be spent in vein. Surely enough, I've stood strong and to my word. I have no cravings at all for an analog. The feeling is so weird, but feels so right. welp

Is the IMR Hybrid 2250mAh Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 With Button Top High Drain Battery the highest mAh 18650 battery that can safely be used in the provari? Does it fit without any extension ring or do you need one? Is there any noticable difference between thius battery and the AW IMR's that provape sells?

From the ProVape site:

We recommend only using AW IMR high drain batteries in your ProVari.
You must use batteries that have a positive button on the top. Flat top batteries will not work. Installing magnet(s) on top of your battery is very dangrous and will void the warranty.

From looking at the specs, the max discharge current is as good if not better than the AW IMR bats, so no problem there.
size wise, this looks like it is about 1.5 mm taller, should be no problem with the spring being able to accept this additional length.

I saw they were coming out with red so I started thinking, maybe a Provari mini with the extension cap for my birthday in that awesome red color. With the extension I could still use the regular batteries [I think] but I would have the flexibility of a bit smaller unit. I'd still have to purchase some smaller batteries. I'll have to go see if they have the mini in red

I'm super happy with the flexibility of the Mini. Being able to slap some 350's in there for out and about pocketability is fantastic, and with the extended cap and tatroe ring I can put in 490's and 650's in for longer vape times.

well, I finally decided to suck it up and spend the money on a provari !!! really need a good backup for the evic, and by all my research more than likely the evic will become a backup to the provari
