I figure, even if I don't go with a standard battery, the battery life on the mini *should* be enough for me. I really only plan on using this at home and use my twists or spinners for work and in the car (yes I might laugh at myself for saying this at some point). I sorta stealth vape at work as it is.

Otherwise, the fact that the batteries charge separately (opposed to the twists) is ideal. I can just have a few going on a charger.

I want the blue display too =)

Blue and silver are purdy together :) I use lots of different things for stealth vaping - even a gas station cig-a-like. Luckily, it has a 510 connection, so I have little clearos for it. It is always in my purse for emergencies.

Roonies, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. May she rest in peace. She would have been thrilled to know you quit smoking.

My mother learned she had terminal cancer the week I tried my first e-cig. She passed within 2 weeks of learning her diagnosis. Her death from cancer made me realize my own mortality if I continued to smoke and not make e-cigarettes work for me. I was a non-smoker after one week of starting vaping. I haven't had a cigarette since (16 months and counting).

To answer your question about the Tatroe mods. You can order just the rings, the base, or together as a combo kit. I ordered two combo's as I have two Provari's. The bases are actually extremely convenient for around the house, especially if you have a top-heavy delivery device like an RBA.

Edit: I just looked on the website. The combo is not listed for the Provari. I don't know if this is because they are out-of-stock, or the vendor wants you to order the pieces individually. They are still offering the Segelei Zmax base kit with both the base and the ring together.

Thanks for the condolences. My mother lived almost 4 years with pancreatic cancer....just crazy!! She did live long enough to see me quit smoking. I had to have a total shoulder replacement and they wouldn't touch me being a smoker.....I figured I'd cut back...that was my plan....got a Halo G6 kit, ordered a couple spinners and some tanks and juice. I had 3 cigs left the day of my surgery. I had one for each of the next three days, at midnight, while vaping. At the end of the 3 days I was done with cigs...all cravings gone....MIRACLE!!! I've managed to switch over my best friend and am beyond grateful for this place and these people!! I LOVE vaping!...I'm down to 6 mg. but will continue just because I enjoy the flavors and the whole ritual of it so much. It takes care of that 'hand to mouth' thing that nothing but eating addresses....haha.....got a little off topic there....so...
I love the GREEN LED! Anyone else? I think it would look hot on either the white or the purple minis. :D

That's amazing! My dad died of pancreatic cancer within 6 months of the diagnosis.

And amazing #2. I've heard a lot about smokers being denied surgery. What is up with that? There wasn't a problem 10 years ago.

They gave my mom 19 months at the outside. The lesion was the smallest they had ever seen! Who knew it would be almost 4 years, certainly not what any of us expected. On the surgery thing, any time you are doing a surgery that involves bones healing, smoking totally messes with blood oxygen to the area and the entire healing process. They just can't guarantee good results. Total shoulder replacement is the worst joint replacement there is. I am only 4 months into a 12-18 month recovery. PT 3 times a week for many months! I'm motivated though...I'm passionate about sailing so that's my carrot....dangling in front of my nose....and I could never have endured this down time of 2 surgeries on my dominant shoulder within 60 days of each other, then going back to KC to see my mother through the end stages of her cancer and subsequent passing and going through her things, without ECF....and that's the truth! All that and I didn't smoke!!
(sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread )

I've worked in surgery for 30 plus years as either a physician's assistant or surgical assistant. You can tell a smoker by their tissue, especially their skin.

I just learned in the last few weeks that nicotine itself (and not just from smoking, nicotine in any form) is known to delay or stall bone growth. So with any bone fractures, bone fusion surgery, or total joint replacement surgery for proper bone healing to occur, no nicotine for you. Nicotine is present in eggplant and tomatoes, too.

Roonies, kind thoughts are with you and congratulations for switching to vaping! I did a very similar thing. I had smokes for nearly 40 years and mostly loved it. I needed to have a neck fusion and disc replacement in April. The surgeon shared with me the stats re the healing of smokers and non-smokers. I experienced this magic window of acceptance and willingness which made the switch to vaping very easy (amazingly easy really). The research that Bad is sharing is correct too. For me, I'm okay with the reduction of harm that vaping allows me (less chemicals, carbon dioxide, etc.). It also tickled me when my surgeon said "cool" when I told him what I did. Hope you continue to heal. Thus far, my surgery has been a success. You are going to LOVE your Provari! Oh yeah, and I'm down to 6mg too!

That is correct. Best to stop ALL NICOTINE, even patches or gum----The skin also does not heal well as nicotine is a vaso constrictor. Make a big difference in your healing/scar. If oxygen doesn't get to area then some of the blood vessels may not bring blood correctly to the surgical area, etc. I was a patient advocate for women having breast reduction surgery....no surgeon will operate on them if they smoke or use nicotine IN ANY FORM....and I do know some who did continue with nicotine and the blood supply to their nipple/aereola complex died and then they had to go in again for reconstruction.

Now, in terms of anesthesiology, vaping is okay. Vapers are not congested. But smokers make ALL anesthesiologists *nervous*. They are keeping you alive and breathing during surgery and smokers can have all sorts of problems when intubated.

You can make the mini bigger, but you can't make the full-sized smaller...
True. I think it'll be nice to have the versatility of both sizes. I may even order a couple smaller IBTanked tanks for it just to make the form factor even a bit more compact for when it would be handy (currently using 22mm XL IBTs on my full-size).

...And I love my satin silvers! I was going to get a black one, but I went with another silver since I like to wrap them and was concerned about adhesive residue on the black. Not that it would damage the surface, but that I might have to clean it better or it would show.
Mine is satin silver with blue LED. I'll probably order the mini in the same, or maybe just go with the red LED this time for something different. The satin silver is a great finish - very durable so far. I take my ProVari almost everywhere with me and it still looks brand new, not a scratch despite a few drops, being in my pocket with keys, change, cell phone, etc. I'm impressed.

I have a number of IBT XLs, but I recently got a couple of the standard height. I like them a lot, they're cute! Have you seen the IBTanked halflings? (I have this thing for little stuff.) :)

Both of mine have the blue LED. I like that shade of blue.

So I know at some point in the future, I will require a knee replacement surgery.
So its best to not use nicotene period?
Thanks

I have seen the halflings - they're cute, but the juice capacity is pretty miniscule as well. I like tanks to hold at least 3-4 ml so they're an "all day" tank for me when I'm out and about (even though I still carry a backup).

I'm a big guy (6'6") with big hands, so I don't worry too much about size factor - even the regular ProVari in 18490 mode looks small in my hand! :) The ProVari in full 18650 mode with a 22mm XL tank and drip tip attached spans from the base of my palm to just below the tip of my middle finger. A mini in 18350 config with a halfling tank would all but disappear in my hand! :D I could see where it would be useful for a short night out where I really wanted to travel light/discreet and wasn't worried about max battery life/juice capacity, though - heck, for 6 bucks I might pick up a halfling tube next time I order just to try it out.
