Nice post Asbestos! How is the weight in hand compared to a Grand? I have been curious about this.
Heavier than a full grand with a battery. To me, the weight is nearly perfect....heavy enough to feel substantial and well built without being uncomfortable. Had they done the whole mod in stainless steel, it'd be heavier than I'd want.

What about Titanium instead?

40 is just too low, even though I love the look of it and have read through a ton of reviews praising it's quality. If it went to 80, I'd be all over it. Maybe in the near future Provape will catch up with the times.
To make that in the US (80W) would require 2 internal resistance matched 18650's in a sealed battery casing to keep liability costs resonable. With the vast majority of vapers using less than 30W it dosen't make sense to make that in the US.

Catch up with the times? What "times"? 90% of Vapers wouldn't need 20w much less 80. I'm not in that 90% but provape is most certainly not behind anyone.

I thought the same thing. I was vaping at 60-95 watts (also, TC), and wasn't sure it 40 could satisfy me. I was wrong. It's all about the build. I'm happily vaping at 25-35W (around 0.7Ohms) and have since retired my other mod. I think in many cases we end up vaping a certain way because our devices dictate it. I was able to step back and re-assess my needs...flavor using MTL. YMMV, of course. However, I certainly wouldn't say that Provape needs to 'catch up with the times'.

It only took 3-4 years for the Provari to bow to the "superior" shape of the REO! With that said, it should spark quite a bit of heated discussion of who is now king of the box mods since it will be a more direct comparison (shape wise at least)......
2 completely different animals...like what's the best glove? Baseball glove or driving glove....

Not really sure how anybody can compare a mechanical mod to a regulated mod ;)

Not to mention "the times" seem to change every 6 months.

and you are correct, 90% of vapers don't need 20watts and 40 would be overkill for them.

Woodvilles.

Used to be VV Grand in metal but not being made anymore, i believe it used the notcigs chip. Was pretty "tall" mod to accommodate the extra circuitry.
Even the woodvil is all mech now. Rob doesn't do anymore regulated mods.

That 30w number is an interesting one.

I don't have one of my own without just making it up.

Do you have a current source??

And while I don't have anything against the rest of the World I am an American so frankly those would be the only vapers I really cared about.

My Goggle Fu is weak today. When I Google that information it keeps coming back to people on innerweb forums saying it.

I would also be interested in reading from your link how they came to this number. Nobody has ever asked me.
