I was entertaining getting a Provari. But honestly I'm not sure why, other than I want to be one of the "cool kids." :)

Here's my question-- I LOVE a 306 atty on my eGo. Does the Provari somehow provide better flavor and vapor than the 306 on an eGo battery? Is that why everyone loves this Provari? Or is there another reason that I'm just not getting?

Im not really any atty user but depending on the ohm of your atty you might see a little difference. The major upside of the vari is the vv, you can adjust it for different attys and cartos and even juice. Sometime certain juice tastes better a tad lower or higher. As with other big battery mods you will also have longer battery life. One of my favorite features is you can also check the resistance of what youre using and that is the icing on the cake.

If you wanna be one of the "cool" kids you may as well go for "coolest" kid:

No slight whatsoever to the Provari which is a fantastic device but I already have the tube form factor with my Lava Tube so here ya go: ....I freely admit the Darwin isn't for everyone perhaps including me but had to try it out.

Huh, I'm using an I06 on my ProVari and I think I can answer this one. (I06 is a fat version of a 306)

Yes, it can make more vapor than an eGo and yes it can provide better flavor than an eGo.

Making more vapor is easy, just turn it up to a higher voltage than 3.2.

Flavor is a bit different because I have found different voltages, on the same atty, are better for different flavors. Some flavors really pop at higher voltages and some pop at lower voltages.

I do not see it as a "cool kids" thing because all the "cool kids" I've ever known still don't know what a good thing is. I've got some uncool coconut cream pie juice to vape now.

You can use your 1.5 306 at a constant 4 -4.2v on the Provari. An ego loaded voltage on a 1.5 306 is around 3v. You get more vapor and heat off the atomizer. No other mod besides the Darwin equals it. It's a little cheaper than the Darwin, if you keep to satin and 18490 batteries. But if it's your first mod you are going to need batteries and charger, and the price pretty much gets exactly the same.

I know you wanted to get with the tanks and I think the provari just looks better with tanks.

I don't have a ProVari, but from all the reviews and videos from people I think it's a great pv. It's got a nice look and a quality build. Not to mention, if you get the extension cap you can use a 18650 which last a lot longer then any eGo and if the battery doesn't hold a charge you just buy a new one. If your happy with the eGo that's okay IMO. I have a Darwin, VV Foxy Box Mod and now a Mini LavaTube. I use them for different purposes.

I just switched to the provari w/ a lil mama tank from an ego with the 306lr atomizer. I liked the vapor and taste of the ego. The benefit of having a provari is being able to use any type of atty, cartomizer, tank, or bottom feeder add on with just the switch voltage. I dont have to change my battery or refill my tank until the next day. The downside is it's really big and heavy. Honestly If I didn't have a problem with spending money I would be fine with my ego but now that i have a provari I wont ever use my ego.

I had a ProVari and sold it. I didn't like how heavy it was let alone that it wouldn't allow me to use a dcc at 6V. It constantly gave me the E2 error message. Just not a good PV for me. I'm happier with a mod that's half the price, or more than half the price, which will allow me to vape anything I want at 6V.

The main reason I love my provari.... Build quality!

I had my provari for about a week, with my torpedo tank(2.6-2.8 ce2s) on it and was already in love, then as I was leaving for work I heard something on the roof of my jeep. I had accidently left my provari on top of it while I was loading up for work. It flew off the top of my jeep and down on to the road. My heart skipped a beat until I picked it up... all it recieved was one very minor scratch... pushed the button and vaped away never missing a step.

I just bought it for peace of mind. I got a 510 first, and I just reallly wanted something reliable after. It it's an all around good choice and a very stable place for a new vaper like myself to start from. I figure I'm in for a loooong journey in the world of vaping. And I just wanted something that can keep up with me as I progress along and try different options in search of my perfect vape. It comes with a 1 or 2 year warranty, if a battery poops out on you, you replace it. It protects itself with a host of safety features (and more importantly as a newb, it protects itself from me doing something stupid to it) and it's fits nicely in my hand. And it's one of the top performers in the vaping world. Hell, I'll pay 250 for that any day. For most hobbies, and sports, to say you can get the best for 250$ is almost unheard of.

Wish I could be that easily satisfied when it comes to mods.....lol. I'm a "gadget" type of guy and seemingly have to try everything I can get my hands on which adds up $$ wise pretty quickly. I don't own a Provari but used one and I like the weight of it as I seemingly have a preference for the feel of the tube mods as I do own a LT and like it as well. The Darwin is an interesting "piece" that I do own and enjoy very much it just isn't a tube. Think my next mod is going to be a Reo Grand that I can vape at 3.7, 5 or 6V as around 5.5 seems to be my sweet spot with most of the juices I prefer. Would be nice if I could settle on just one maybe 2 mods and call it a day.....maybe soon.
