Ok so I've been baling for a month now. I know there is no way I'm going back.

I starte with blu and that lasted a week before I got 2 ego twist. I know I want to move to a mod and I love the design of the provari the only question is it really worth the cost difference vs. say a lava tube. Ignore aesthetics purely performance wise. Please no fanboy ism just honest replies

I'd say if you have to wait that long, get the Lavatube. I also have a Provari and agree with dragonbone on the wait. It has some "nice to have" features that, with 20/20 hindsight, I would not have waited 2-3 months to buy if budget were a constraint like that.

OTOH you just got two twists. If you really wanted the Provari, you could always use those to get by while you're saving or buy the LT and get a Provari later on if it doesn't work out for you.

I think a person would have to have a LT in one hand and a Provari in the other to fully understand the difference in build quality. Yes the Provari is expensive, but IMO in this case you really do get what you paid for. However that is not to say that you can't get a satisfying vape from other PV's. I can (and do) get a great vape from a $2.20 mini box mod.
Factor in the customer service of dealing with the manufacturer instead of a supplier along with the warranty, and all of a sudden the price difference is a little more palatable.

Have you ever seen what's inside a Provari, and how it's put togeather?

I'd get the Lavatube if money was a consideration. The Lavatube is fine. There are some significant differences that make the Provari worth the extra money but the vape quality will be comparable.

Provari is made of precision machined stainless steel. That means the atomizer and battery threads won't wear out over time The LT is aluminum like an LED flashlight.

Provari electronics are highly accurate. If you insert a digital voltmeter between the atomizer and the Provari body and set it for a specific voltage, the DVM will read exactly the same as the Provari setting under load. Voltage on a specific atomizer/PV combination produces the same vape on either and we just crank it up and down until it's right, though. The Lavatube may sag a bit on low resistance/higher voltage settings due to the 3.5 amp capacity of the Provari vs the 2.5 amp capacity of the LT. There's talk of a 4 amp version of the LT coming out.

If your Provari breaks, you send it in for repair. It's warranted for one year with an option to purchase another year for $24.95. After the vendor warranty on a Lavatube, you buy a new one if it breaks.

I have both a Lavatube and a Provari (among other mods). I would vote Provari all day. My Lavatube broke after a month of use (the battery cap fell off and the threading on the battery cap is off center, thus I can't change the battery anymore). The build quality between the Lavatube and the Provari aren't even in the same league. It's like buying a cheap mod box from Madvapes vs a professionally made wooden model from Red Sky Mods - the madvapes will work well, but you may need to buy another one in a few weeks.

My Provari is my go-to PV, it is always consistent, solid as a rock, and I never worry about it leaving me stranded. It is perfection in my opinion.

In addition, Provari's support team is absolutely phenomenal! I had an cartomizer break off and the threading was stuck in the adapter, also some of the chrome on my unit was starting to fade away. I sent it in and they sent me a brand new Provari within 3 days! Amazing customer service! I didn't even buy the extended guarantee (although if you are purchasing one, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT).

    This says it all:

After using a BB and Silver Bullet for about 3 months, I wanted a variable voltage device. I wanted a durable, high tech device from a reputable and American company like the one's from Altsmoke. I've had my Provari 2 for about a week and it is everything that I have read. Until you have seen one, held one, and vaped one, you just couldn't understand.

I have both a Lavatube and a ProVari, and I'm glad I have both. Recently, I had to send my ProVari in for warranty repair. Provape's customer service couldn't possibly be any better, and I have my ProVari back in great condition. However, I was very happy to have my Lavatube while my ProVari was away, and it has never missed a beat. I'm proud to own and use both.

Depends how much money you have and if its "in the budget" I wouldnt put it on a credit card at all lol. Some have to buy a 300.00 fridge ... others buy $3,000 fridges who have more bank. Sooooo .... How much money do you wanna spend?

My opinion: lavatubes are fine. I am partial to them as I have one and not a provari. I dont want to spend that kind of money its not needed. If your a regular guy, you dont need a 200.00 provari.

Not to sound Rude, but how can I know if spending 200 Bucks on a Mod will be Worth It or Not for you? What do want in a Mod?

I have both a LavaTube and a Provari. They both do the Same thing. Is the Provari 140 Dollars Better than the LT for me? I dunno.

All I know is that I like the way the Provari Feels in my hand vs the LT. And if my Provari stopped working, it's 15 Months old and out of Warantee, I would buy another in a Heart Beat.

Sometimes it Easy to say that One PV is Better than Another. But harder to say One is $140 Better.
