I just deleted a bunch of stuff because I was being a smart-azz.

Look, if you want it, you can afford it, and it fits your style, buy it.

If not, don't, and quit spreading hate about it.

I think guys that live in the suburbs, don't haul trailers or big loads, and spend upwards of $50,000 on huge-... trucks are making the wrong choice. But if that $90,000 Lariat Super Duty makes them happy, more power to them. I don't get on line to call them ...... and talk smack about the limitations of the truck.

Seriously, we have nothing better to do with our time than find fault with other people's vape choices? Someone needs a hug. Or a different hobby.

I just picked up the mini gun metal zenkote for $99 (okay, 115 or so with extension cap) with a 10% coupon. I value it as a smoking cessation tool. Previous $40ish vv VW mods still working (one after being replaced due to crappy 510 connector).
I want to carry one thing in my pocket. I need it to work every time. I do not trust the model whose pin got jammed down after two weeks (ESP) or the other one that has a fire button that works fine 99% of the time and tends to warmer than I like (istick 30w). I don't want to think "yeah, the button always works a second later, but will it crap the bed on me today?"
For less than two weeks worth of cigs, I got something that I am confident will do its job every day. The fact that it can't power a fog machine doesn't bother me, because that is not the job I'm asking of it. Sometimes, I drip subohm at home on the rigs that support that. If I lost that capability for a week due to my desk mod dying, if still get by okay. If I got stuck out for the day with something that stopped working, I'd be in trouble.
That, and it feels nice in the hand and kinda looks like a sonic screwdriver.

Unless they have a new product next year, I'll probably get the P3.

If I lost it today, I'd order another. That said, if I lost one if my VW boxes, I'd replace that also. That new KangerTech looks nice.

I have 4 Provaris as well as other higher end mods, 14 mods all together, and none of them give me an ounce of problems. I'm a tootle puffer and don't need above 15 watts. I vape on the variable's at about 9.5-10.0 watts. I like my Provaris and I didn't pay a bunch for any of them, bought them off the classies. I would however pay the $149 for the 2015 classic. These are just a mod that I don't worry about.
8 months ago I bought the istick 20w, it lasted 7 months before the 510 connector wore out. I then bought a 30w Sigelei, that lasted 3 weeks before it dumped, and darned near vented the battery before I got it out. I'll pay the price for something I won't have to worry about. So, that's for me, and if it's not for you, I promise I won't berate you for it. :)

When you say security blanket, are you referring to a reliable device that helps me stay smoke free? If so, that's just rude.
Trash a product or praise a product. Getting judgmental on people results in nothing worthwhile. I'm not saying the folks with 150w box mods chucking huge clouds with .1 ohm builds are over compensating for something else (except I kinda just did, but I guess that is a good example of nothing worthwhile coming from getting personal), so don't denigrate folks that enjoy something different from you.

I didn't have to spend $250. I recently bought a provari 2.5 for $129 from their site. Very decent price for an extremely well engineered mod that I know will still be working well 5 years or more from now. I didn't need/want the version 3, didn't need a charger or other extras. I have the satin finish 2.5, the fit and finish are brilliant, and it is amazing with my small tanks, carto tanks, etc. I also subtank and occasionally drip, and I use other mods for that.
Watch the PBusardo video on youtube of his tour of the provari factory....that'll explain why provari owners like their mods so much.

Basically I'm hearing that Provari is dead until they match the times. You can't charge the highest price, for the lowest capability, in a market that is flying upward. In the time that I have been absent from ECF, there are new terms, new members, new acronyms, new devices that I can't remotely keep track of.

The market flying upward, maybe - but depending on what you'll find "up" there (mainly more wattage), not everybody wants to have it. It is simply not everybody's priority.

Recently saw a store in Ca liquidating many of them for $79, so at least in that area no one sees the value.
It'd probably be a nice back-up mod, but a mech seems more reliable for that.

I guess if some people need a security blanket more than they want to have fun with new things...

A security blanket is starting to sound like a good idea as the FDA Grandfather Date creeps up on us.

I kind of agree about the mech mod thing. Being able to send a Provari back to the factory for repair might not help much if they are deemed out of existence.

Here's my input on the situation. What I don't see mentioned is the fact that not all of us are sub-ohm cloud chasers. I'm a happy Tootle Puffer, and have been since I quit smoking back in 2013. I have no interest in the new 1000 watt box mod with the 1080p touch screen or the 50 coil super RDA with a .002 build. Couldn't care less... I'm not going to speak for all, but as an educated guess, I would say most strictly Provari users don't either.

I'm perfectly happy with my 2.0 ohm cartos at 4.2 volts. Hell my Reos only run 1.3 ohm coils

After my 4 EVOD 1000-something mah batts died back in the beginning, I decided I wanted to upgrade. I was looking for something that was rock solid, and would just work. I didn't want anything fancy just a battery mod with some VV function. What I got was a Made in the USA, solid SS tube with a SS 510 that has yet to foul, or even think about stripping, and I swap tanks A LOT!!! If it ever tears up I can send it back to them and they will fix it. Sure it's not a lifetime warranty but the fixes are cheap.

My original Provari ( I have 2) has fallen out of a shirt pocket while I was in the drivers seat of a 3 in lifted jeep on 33's onto pavement twice, and didn't so much as put a ding dent or scratch on it (nor the ibtanked that was on it! Damn those things are tough! LOL!) I picked it back up and continued vaping. Iv'e dropped it while rock crawling, and picked it back up and continued vaping. Hell it's fallen in the sink while washing dishes. I dried it off with a towel, opened it, saw the battery was dry, closed it back up , and guess what I did... I continued vaping.

I think the bottom line is that there are other types of vapers out there besides you. The ones who want something made int the USA and is damn near bullet proof. The ones who want a device that just plain works. The ones that don't need a super high watts and low ohms to have a good vape. The Provari is a great fit for a vaper like that (me).

Edited to Add: I've been here quite a while, and one thing I haven't seen are thread titles like: "My Provari stopped working", "My Provari Auto Fires", "My Provari Exploded". So that should tell you something.

There are those of us that do not view devices as "fun". I don't have "fun" with my devices. I use them for a specific purpose. I absolutely hate changing batteries. I hate charging them. I hate wicking. I hate mixing liquid. I hate making coils. I do because it did one thing for me.. helped me quit smoking cigarettes. For that, I will put up with all my hates.

I bought a refrigerator (cost more than a provari, more than an Otto Carver) I don't have "fun" with it.

I bought a new oven/microwave and I don't have "fun" with it.

I purchased many things that I don't have fun with but are necessary.

No I do not own a Provari. Yes I own clones and inexpensive authentics.

Yes I think the P3 was a huge marketing mistake. However it has made the P2.5 very affordable.
There are plenty of good ways to vape below the 15 watt limit. They just need to be marketed correctly to become popular again.

Fact is I bought this not that I needed another Provari

ProVari Mini Gun Metal ZenKote Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette

And you can trust me on this one; I had no idea just how good a Provari is until I used one.

I doubt Provape is going anywhere, out of recent popularity isn't going to put them under.
Now, losing SuperTManufacturing- there was a major loss to the community.

i honestly dont get the whoel durability and reliability hype provari gets, I been vaping on 3 years now, and minus 1 ego style battery that I vaped the battery dead, everything I have bought works still. Vision spinners, other egos, unbranded stick styles, an old *** silver bullet, volts, solara dna30, rdna vaporshark. they all still work, and I can attest I have beaten the living crap out of and dropped and tossed around my vaporshark and silver bullets.

I just see way more one can get out of the cost of 1 of those 2015 provari, and have a more enjoyable experience and good reliability.
Well after you drop your plastic box 30 feet out a windowwindow and if shatters into pieces you'd understand.

Its pretty sad that on this side of the pond no one respects quality or has any interest in anything but Chinese junk.

There are plenty of mods in Europe that are just as expensive if not more, but they don't come here as the Walmart loving Americans show no interest if it doesn't come from fasttech. Hell I have attys almost as expensive as a provari.

Provari sales aren't hurting, and there not worried as you aren't the person they are after anyways.

If you could though, maybe point me to some threads about the mod bursting into flames, or the button not working, or charge port failing, or screens getting scrambled....

Oh wait , you cant, they actually work as advertised

If you don't like it, don't buy it but you shouldn't put down what you refuse to understand. Not everyone buys their shoes at wallyworld

I miss these ProVari hate threads :tumble:... very refreshing to see one started while I am on holidays here in Florida

Personally, I don't care if the cheap chinese mods trend to 1000 watts ... let the cloud chasing crowd follow that trend.

I am in my perfect vape nirvana with a ProVari topped with a Kayfun ... these setups are all I buy ... lets just say, I get it

I don't care how good of a deal folks think cheap chinese $30 box mods are ... I personally feel relieved I was able to trade my brand new IPV50w box mod for a used ProVari (that disposable box mod was an impulse buy I regretted as soon as I bought it).

I've never paid full price for any of the ProVaris I own ... and for those who are looking at the ProVari because you are not following the trend of cheap high watt chinese box mods, and just want a reliable device to replace smoking.

you will not find a better deal on a bullet proof PV than this ...

ProVari Mini Gun Metal ZenKote Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette
