I don't mind a bit of comparison, but not the language that can come from someone sitting comfortable in front of a keyboard. I know about that and I think about what I am writing.

When I bought my first set of tires, I bought the cheapest. A year later I bought another set that were a lot more expensive. I didn't have a problem with them. I usually end up doing reviews and purchasing somewhere in the middle.

Many a time, I read the last post and start typing a reply. When I actually post there are 3-4 others that have already posted.

But, I do like to hear good reviews and fair opinions. After all, it is just someone's thoughts.

Been awhile since there was a genuine ProVari bashing thread.....I kinda missed it!

From personal experience, I think they're worth every penny. I used ProVaris for a couple years with no remorse. They worked every time I hit the button, no matter what I did to them. I tear down buildings for a living, so I did PLENTY to them. Once, I dropped one out of a 5th floor window on to an asphalt parking lot. The kayfun (authentic) didn't survive but the ProVari worked fine. I dropped a Hana dna 30 (also authentic) out of my hand on to an asphalt parking lot and it was done. I'm only 6'1". I sent it to Hana Modz and went through hell trying to get them to fix it.
Once, I got a ProVari V2 standard in a trade. It was purple. I hate purple. I took it apart and sandblasted it. Then I broke the button off the board trying to put it back together. I sent it to ProVape and told them what happened...I didn't even lie. They sent it back within 5 days with a new board in it. They didn't charge me anything for some reason...maybe because I've bought several devices from them over the years, I don't know.
They don't fit my vaping style anymore....I use mainly REOs now. But they do fit MOST vapers needs. Those of us who subohm and blow big clouds aren't the majority of vapers. Maybe we're the majority who sit on vaping forums, but there's a whoe bunch of vapers who've never heard of ECF or maybe they just have better things to do.
What I don't understand is why take the time to start a thread to complain about the price vs. features of a ProVari? It's cheaper than many things that do way less.
They're not for everybody, that's a fact. But, they're perfect for those that want a very high quality mod thats made in the USA and has impeccable customer service and who don't need mega watts or subohm capable devices.

Well after you drop your plastic box 30 feet out a windowwindow and if shatters into pieces you'd understand.

Its pretty sad that on this side of the pond no one respects quality or has any interest in anything but Chinese junk.

There are plenty of mods in Europe that are just as expensive if not more, but they don't come here as the Walmart loving Americans show no interest if it doesn't come from fasttech. Hell I have attys almost as expensive as a provari.

Provari sales aren't hurting, and there not worried as you aren't the person they are after anyways.

If you could though, maybe point me to some threads about the mod bursting into flames, or the button not working, or charge port failing, or screens getting scrambled....

Oh wait , you cant, they actually work as advertised

If you don't like it, don't buy it but you shouldn't put down what you refuse to understand. Not everyone buys their shoes at wallyworld

You can call it whatever you want. I call it smart shopping. I'll put my $15 nemy clone from China with a $20 Evolv Kick up against a Provari. I have tried a Provari at a B&M and there wasn't anything different to the vape against the clone/kick duo. The clone is not junk. Yes it has been dropped. Yes the atty broke but the device survived. For 35 bucks I got the same thing as a Provari without the warranty. That's fine with me.

BTW.. I don't shop at wallyworld unless what I am looking to buy is offered as a cheaper price. I will happily buy American unless I feel that American made product is priced to high. Yes, I feel a Provari is priced to high for what it is. I do not and will never begrudge someone else to purchase anything they want unless it is my money they are spending.

Personally I would rather buy a XPV from Protovapor than a Provari. The Provaris are gawdawful ugly.

I miss these ProVari hate threads :tumble:... very refreshing to see one started while I am on holidays here in Florida

Personally, I don't care if the cheap chinese mods trend to 1000 watts ... let the cloud chasing crowd follow that trend.

I am in my perfect vape nirvana with a ProVari topped with a Kayfun ... these setups are all I buy ... lets just say, I get it

I don't care how good of a deal folks think cheap chinese $30 box mods are ... I personally feel relieved I was able to trade my brand new IPV50w box mod for a used ProVari (that disposable box mod was an impulse buy I regretted as soon as I bought it).

I've never paid full price for any of the ProVaris I own ... and for those who are looking at the ProVari because you are not following the trend of cheap high watt chinese box mods, and just want a reliable device to replace smoking.

you will not find a better deal on a bullet proof PV than this ...

ProVari Mini Gun Metal ZenKote Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette

$100 shipped
Florida,, man we Actually let you in? I'm gonna have to write my congressman now......

Its sad to see the vitrol and hatred becoming so prevailent on ECF.
I keep wondering if I'm on reddit anymore
^That! It is like an infectious disease, and easy to catch if one lets their guard down.

Here's the deal according to tj.

I bought an iStick 50 when they first came out. I really wanted to see what all the hype was about, besides, it was only $40 bucks. (101vape upped the price to $60 the next day)
Because of the two batteries that there is no way to check individually, and because of the reported problems, I worry every time I pick it up. (even tho' it works just fine) That worry factor is simply something that I have no desire to deal with.
The same goes for the ultra high wattage stuff, it's the worrying that something could go wrong when vaping at those extremes that makes it something that I just don't want to do.

Odd because I started using mechanical mods long before sub ohm or cloud chasing even existed, and never felt that same lack of trust in what I was using or doing.

The same holds true with the Provari. I've had them for about 4 years now, and I have never had a sense of doom, or the feeling that something might go wrong when using them.
So my suggestion is simply to use what you trust ... whatever that might be.

I used vamo ($25) for almost a year, no problems at all. It did everything Provari can do and it is more convenient (at least to me) thanks to it 3-button interface. Recently I have found out I like box mods better. I put my Vamo on a shelf with no remorse (remember, it is just$25).
I have 4 mods now, not a one goes higher than 30W and my usual vaping is at about 10-15 W, so Provari could fit my habits. But! I have paid for all four mods $120. I have spare to spare to spare for price well below Provary cost. In case of vapocalypse I'll feel myself much safer than with a Provari.

But of course Provari is a good choice for quite a few people. Will it fade? I think so. It had an opportunity to choose different way - to increase production, to slash prices, to increase number of its followers. They prefer to be an artisan company and keep prices high. I just wonder, how many first-time buyers they have now and two years earlier? (The same true with REO).

I wish they had a box mod with an 18650. That would pull me a lot closer to consideration.

I do enjoy that boxy shape sometimes. I'd love a an even smaller box though. Put that awesome button, the chip and the display next to a 18490 for a little shirt pocket box stealthy Provari and Id get one tomorrow. Provape has the engineering, they could use a bit more in the design dept. What they have is nice, but there's room to expand for them, it seems in terms of form

Can you make any point on this forum without someone aSSuming you are trash talking someone?

COST vs. VALUE is my question.

Is it there, or is it not?

For the 2.5, yes the value is there.
For the P3, IMO no it isn't.

For the price of the P3, hell I'd add the $20 bucks and buy three 2.5s.

Oh look, another thread about the 'cost' of vaping.
About the cost of vaping or about sub ohm vs tootle puffing. Nice non sub ohm provaris can be had new for $100 or less.
Or is this about cheap imported stuff vs made in USA stuff?

On the cost thing a vision spinner costs as much as an istick 30w, which would you rather have?

This is the problem right here, I don't know why everyone is convinced provari is a two man shop making 20 mods a year. They are far from a little artisan shop.

There mods are shipped around the world and they can't make them fast enough. In the tour video the shipping dept is stacked with 100's of them. In bins shoulder high

Some people like the level of quality they provide, you see many blemished for sale. Yet many can't find the flaw.I saw a picture there was a scratch/gouge on the underside of the top cap no user will ever see. Provape considered that part flawed and was sent to the blemish pile.

Companies do not cry about people who aren't interested in their product when no matter what they do they can't make enough anyways lol

Your not interested fine, but stop hating on a company just because its not what you choose.

And by the way everything has been the end of provari for 4 years now, the zmax, nope, the DNA, nope, the mech, nope, box mods, nope, vw, nope, high warrage vaping , nope.

But keep ringing the death bells sooner or later you'll get lucky.

Might as well toss a dart at the wall then Go draw a bullseye around it and go see? I was right.
