The issues with the dna have since been fixed. But of course an old review dictates every revision of the product.

Mmmm Hmmm..... was supposed to be fixed in the one I bought but it's not.
Newer revision! Same glitches!

Ok then. Very sorry for the misunderstanding. Some people here just defend their ProVari to the death while everyone else is on a pleb level.

My only reason for really bringing up the SX Mini or even the dna 40 was to kinda compare the features of the premium devices. Because you get the exact same 20w vape on any of these that you can get from a provari and all use high quality materials. But for the same money if not less, a lot more comes in the package. They are all great devices. I just don't like ProVapes uncompetitive stance when it comes to the price of an aging piece of electronics.

No problem here. My wimpy tootle-puffing style affords me a lot of flexibility, for which I feel quite fortunate. I can buy based on styling, reliability and price, and ALWAYS get the vape I want. Ironically, one of the new ones coming out is something I'd be semi-interested in, but it's 12 watts on the low end, which means I can't use it. That's a first! But I love the colors (black and red). SOMETIMES I get one of my VW mods to 11w, but that's about it.

I buy Provi's mainly because I know that I can rely on them, long term (they've proven that to me, time and time again). And I'm VERY hard on things.

But if I was a high wattage vaper, I'd definitely look elsewhere (obviously).

And I'm still fairly ecstatic about landing a GMZ for under $110 (including extension cap). Money well spent, in my opinion.

Pics and proof of chip version or it did not happen.

Oh now you want me to prove my device is defective..... imagine that! :grr: You want proof & pics go look in the Vapor Shark thread!

Funny though..... If I had said my Provari was defective I seriously doubt you'd have asked for proof & pics!..... But DNA warrants them....LOLOLOL!

As of Tues people in the DNA thread are stating evolv is still working on it.

Not arguing just stating- if you like paying to be a beta tester you go right ahead.

But since it is a device you approve of it is worth the price flaws and all- correct?

I for one don't have a thing against Brandon, or the products made at Evolv. I didn't like the early DNA boards simply because without "step down" they didn't fit my needs. I don't need (or want) temp control, so the DNA 40 still isn't something I want. That only makes it technology that I neither need or want, but in no way implies that it isn't good technology.

I was happy with my Subtank minis at ~17.5 on my P3...until I tried them at 25W on my SX.
Now my 1.2ohm Subtanks are on my P3s at 20W = perfect
They are great on the SX at 23-25W but just ducky on the P3 at 20W

The SX will continue to sport my 3rd StM .5 ohm at 27-30W = fan....ingtastic :thumb:

I'm ordering a pack of Nickel ST coils to try out but just for fun AFAIC
Have you used a Subtank LB?
My Nautiluseses & P2.5s just sit there glaring at me now.

And people in other groups and boards say the exact opposite. I have bought two DNA 40 devices since my original glitched HANA V4D and both work flawless.

Like a Provari, the Nautilus isn't for everyone.
It had nothing to do with the vape. It was the dependability of the coils, potentially dangerous wicking, not to mention needing vice grips half the time to open the damn thing.

I have not, MV. Part of the reason though, is that I truly am very happy with my vape. And I've got a lot of supplies on hand too. So why search for something better if I'm already getting what I want? I'm not really one to experiment (much), and would hate to make all the stuff I have obsolete.

So I'll just keep on poppin' blister packs, and doing that which I truly enjoy, unless I stop enjoying it. If THAT happens, well, anything goes.

For now though, call me one very happy non-smoker. :vapor:

Didn't you say this about your Hana on one of your other sites you frequent?-

I bought mine last Tuesday for $200 at a B&M and absolutely love it. I now keep forgetting I have a Hana V4D sitting in the junk drawer in need of repairs.
