Hello everyone. The angels in heaven are singing in my ear today as I happily vape away on my new ProVari. It arrived in excellent time. It went out on Tuesday and I received it here in Michigan this afternoon. 2 day transit across the county is pretty darn good, I tip my hat to USPS (though I still hold a grudge from past experiences lol).
There wasn't much to the packaging. The ProVari was rolled up in bubble wrap and the charger and batteries were each in their own baggies. Honestly I am happy that there isn't any fancy packaging. Who needs a fancy box to drive up the price anyway?
I didn't get the extension so I just ordered two standard 18490 batteries and put them on the charger right away. I'm not sure how long it took to top off as I had lunch plans with my mom (aww how sweet

) The LED indicators were both green by the time I returned. I put one in and attached my most recently used Cisco LR306. First I have to say that it has been under-performing the last few days on my eGo. I had tried cleaning it but it was still significantly weaker than when it was new. I press the button and see "E2"

... aww crap, whats that now? ah yes, the voltage is too high for the LR atty.
After a few button presses I set the voltage to 3.3, I figure I should try it out at what the eGo puts out. Yep, hits about the same as it was on the eGo. Crank it up a bit to 3.7, now that is much better. 3.9 is as high as I could go without getting an error and boy was that puppy cranking out the vapor. It was hitting better than brand new!
Throughout the day I tried several different atties. I also had a lot of fun testing the ohms as I've never had a multi-meter to test them myself. I found one of my atties measured in at 3.0, no wonder it hit like a wet noodle on my eGo. My clearomizers even worked well but I had to tone down the volts as they tasted burnt pretty easily. So then I dig out my very first atty (from my first kit I got on 10/26/2010). I had tried de-bridging it a while ago in an attempt to bring it back to life with no luck. The ProVari shows it at 2.6 ohms so I set the volts to 4.0 and drop in 4 drops. Whoa it hits like a beast! It doesn't matter what I put on the ProVari. I just test the ohms, set a voltage and adjust it up or down and it vapes like a champ.
The menu system is very intuitive. It only takes a short amount of time to get the gist of it and I already scroll through adjust settings without any trouble and its only been one day. The finish on this thing is amazing. It has just the right amount of texture to have a really good grip, yet still look shiny and polished. I have scrutinized this thing thoroughly and it is damn near flawless! The LED is very bright and very readable. The threading for the end-cap screws in silky smooth and tightens down perfectly flush with the base of the unit. The atomizer connection seems to be built like a tank and the reservoir is very roomy without detracting from the look of the unit at all.
The button is soft and not clicky at all. I was worried about that when I ordered but I am happy to report it is very responsive and I already like it better than clicky buttons. Like others have said, it does have a fair bit of weight. I like the weight though as it really makes the ProVari feel incredibly solid in your hand. The ProVari emblem on the side is a brilliant touch, I hope that it doesn't wear off easily.
In closing I have to say that the ProVari has met and exceeded all my expectations. This mod deserves all the hype and it totally lives up to it in every way. I cannot thank the ProVape team enough for creating such a masterpiece. I feel that this, my first mod, will really be the last mod I ever need. (well, I may want to try out a bottom feeder one of these days

)

Vape on!
