Can you use a AW 18650 2900mAh LiNiCoO2 or RediLast 2900mAh battery ???? I believe the Max Discharge rate is 5.8A. They are a fair amount longer than the IMR 18650s though. Concerning an extended warranty, no I wouldn't buy it because a year from now I will most likely be vaping with something completely different (if past experience is any indication of future results!).

If they are much longer they might not work. I would stick with the tested AW high drain because they have excellent power output and will work the best! You'll have to experiment a little and see what works best for you with your preferred settings. :)

I would b interested in buying it.. How close to the end if the standard 1 year warranty would you be able to purchase the extended.... I wouldn't purchase it yet.... I would prefer to wait atleast 11 months.....

Just like most extended warranties it would need to be purchased at the time of original purchase.

Still looking for at least a guesstimate on how much it would cost for a controller replacement. Hard to tell if we'd be willing to pay for a warranty if we have no idea what it would cost to repair. Additionally, would replacement parts be available to those of us who posess the ability to do the work ourselves?

...what is the finish on the tube?

...how robust is the ProVari system against vibration? ...I had bought a blu months ago thinking it would be the perfect travel PV. The Harley killed it.

Why only a 1 year warranty on this one? Should something fail (most likely being the electronics) what would the estimated cost be to repair?

The finish is a media blasted finish. Its very silky smooth and looks great. The photos don't do it justice. Its one of those you have to see in person.

I answered #2 in the last post and for warranty repair say you went into the pool with the device, a new circuit board would cost no more than $45. In a year from now, who knows this may drop in price too. Remember, these are well built devices and cannot be compared to your experience with Blu. :)

We offer some parts like the end caps but any repairs would need to be done by us.

It’s a great question. We don't foresee any major updates. One of the main reasons is were pretty much out of space on the processor at this point. Were going to add everything that we can upfront before shipping so we can try to avoid updates and more updates. Now this isn't to say there will never be updates but at this point things look solid.

But just incase, in the event there is something that comes along, something major, yes you would be able to send it in for an update and there wouldn't be any charge other than shipping. :)

Now that's what ya call piece of mind, thank you, much.!

I agree with this statement. Say we get the provari and there is updates to it can we send it in to get replaced how will that work Thanks much.

I think I covered this one, but just incase, you would just send the device in and we can update it. We don't foresee any changes to the code.

The code will not be provided..Sorry Ren. No modding the mod

I agree and thanks Vape360 for all the answers and additional information, I can't wait to see if there is any other features going to be added.

I too would be interested in the extended warranty, just more of a peace of mind and I am a little OCD; if it is an option just let me know how to add it to my order. I figured for that estimated price that having a solid mod that would last me 2 years minimum, you just can't beat that and my wife will be happy for me to stop being on the look out for a better mod since this looks like it has everything, and then some :)

Ok, what is the deal with atty adapters?

What I mean is, I know they will work on the ProVari and other devices but I've seen so many posts, instructions, etc. that say to either be careful using them or other vendors make their own adapters in all sizes and advise not to use adapters, etc.

What is the real story behind them, are they dangerous, do they cause shorts or take away from voltages? I got mine from Madvapes (510 to 901/KR808) and haven't had any issues but figured I would ask before using it on this device since this one has a good amount of safety features and I didn't want to cause any of them to trigger or cause any malfunctions.

Thanks and Vape On

Where do you see that it doesn't? Read it again.. You're just being told that you aren't being given the information you'd need to do it yourself if you had an eprom burner. It will be done for you at no cost.

As I said - "Doesn't look like it works that way."

I have gotten a kick out of some of the other modders here getting a bit testy that exact plans are not being made available, i believe we are consumers and care THAT it does something, not HOW it does something, so instead of wasting time asking for trade secrets from a small business like this why not call up ford and ask them for the plans for next years models, I am sure they will email them right over to you.

We don't need to call Ford for information. Their parts are available 3rd party.

Not exactly Jim,

Your reference to calling up Ford probably does not fit all that well considering published statistics suggest the TOP 50 purveyors of auto parts in the US exceeds 25,000 locations alone. Within the walls of the suppliers one will find not only nuts and bolts but extremely detailed publications that define the inner workings, care and feeding and operational details for the consumer.

More to the point:

Consumers (not necessarily us) can purchase a vaping device for $30.00 or less for TWO devices. Read; throw away. And would you not agree that these consumers generally would not show up here within the forums reading thousands of messages, untold hours of research or spending in excess of $200.00 for a mod (Vaping Device). Of course not.

Many tags could define us, gadgeteers, modders, super vapers, hobbyists, ultimate thrill seekers, people with more money then brains, bit & byte junkies, hardware freaks, but generic consumers - NO.

We are here because it appears that David has created an ultimate device (ProVari) with superior quality potential. We are here because this is a rather unique and pleasant change in direction and technology for the vaping/mod community wherein 'look mom no wires and it has a computer inside to' but batteries not included.

Suddenly reality kicks in and we start to ask ourselves what if's...

What if David gets hit by a bus? Of course we pray that no one ever gets hit by a bus - Can we fix our BIG investment.

What if one wants to fine tune some function or feature? Can we do it?

What if it breaks or malfunctions? Can we fix it ourselves, get parts, painfully send it away to a mod hospital for a repair procedure?

Would you now agree that your fellow dedicated vapers and forum members are asking the right questions? Yes we do care how it does something...

Regards & Vape Responsibly :vapor:

I know this is a silly question but it is important to me because I wont buy another mod without one. Does this have a recessed atty connection? So if some juice is leaking out the holes in the atty it could be sucked back in without leaking all over the pv.(Can't tell from the pics) Sorry to interrupt...carry-on. Oh and by the way....this pv looks very nice.

I blieve it has a reservoir that would catch excess juice I'm not sure whether or not that juice will be sucked back through..... I'm sure Oliver or David will have a better answer...
