Yeah I'm using a AW IMR 18650 that I bought from ProVape. It just did it again about 15 minutes ago. I think it's happened 4 times in the last 4 hours. I'm vaping at 5.3V and right now the battery is reading 3.5V with the battery check. It makes sense that the battery starts to work again after reconnecting it, but what doesn't make sense is how long it works. If it was almost dead then it shouldn't be lasting several more hours.

Maybe a misconception - the ProVari doesn't allow it to run the battery dead, that damages these batteries. I've tried not to even let it get to the point where the ProVari turns itself off; as soon as it starts flashing the light at me, I swap out the battery for a fresh one. This battery technology doesn't like getting too drained. I can still make a solid day of vaping off a fully charged 18650.

This is exactly the reason.
You will get much longer life from your batteries by doing what Scott does! :)

What is the voltage at (using Cb) when your battery flashes? I'm all the way down to 3.3V now after having reseated the battery 5 times. I was just going to continue to re-seat it until it didn't work anymore. Is that a bad idea?

Yup, bad idea. This is the same type battery they're using in newer hybrid cars. Most of those never allow the battery to go below 60% charge before they shunt power to recharge them. The ProVari is set to give you a good balance between battery duration between charges and battery life through multiple charges. I just let it do its thing and swap it out when it thinks I should, and I haven't been disappointed.

About the worse thing you can do regarding 'normal' operation, is let the cell voltage get low. My ProVari has never hit the "low" indication yet. Using the IMR 18650 from Bruce they're around 3.5v after a full days use, and hit the charger overnight.
Most of the time there's a 3.1Ω E-2 (MAP Tank) getting 4.1-4.3V depending on which juice is being vaped.

the Provari is designed to take ANY atty and get the optimal vape out of it, by supplying regulated consistent variable power ... that's what it does and it does it perfectly imo.

I am a dripper... been through all the feeders and renounced 'em due to inconsistent feed and taste (maybe unfair since non are regulated variable power)....

back to dripping: consistent, every time, precise amount of juice, precise placement of juice.

Provari, atty resistance to power ratio, depending on pg/vg ratio in juice = optimal vape possible in as many variations as possible.

Have you checked out the "drip shield" from "empire mods"? It's amazing how well it works for me. I drip 5 or 6 drops and there is zero leakage just one great hit after another.

Hello everyone! Hope I'm in the right place for this! I just recently recieved my provari (I am going to be doing a review on it in the next day or two) So far I LOVE it. I just love it's versitility and how you have EVERY voltage in one. I do have one question though, I notice that my Atty's don't quite fit all the way into the provari. In other words, there are still a couple rows of threads showing on the atty after it was screwed all the way down. Is that normal, does anyone else notice that? Also, do these 18650 batteries need breaking in? I was expecting to get more battery life out of it then I have. I'm definitely happy that I ordered the extension with the 18650

Mine don't screw down all the way unless you force it. I don't worry about it though, I just snug it up and vape away. If you crank it in, it pushes the center contact up and could abstuct the air flow to the little holes in the side of the atty. As far as breaking in the 18650's, I've always just run them till the cut off. Some ppl like to change them as soon as they get the low battery indicator, supposed to get longer life that way. I've been vaping mine for almost 3 months now and haven't noticed any difference in life now as compaired to when I first got them.

Ohh....see I just switched mine until the light started blinking. I assumed that meant it was about to die! The "BC" part is confusing to me....I would prefer like a 1-10 rating of how much battery you have left LoL. So at what Voltage will it stop working? and also, ya know how like an Ego after the first ten puffs goes down in voltage? Even when the battery is low will it always vape at what you set it to....ie 4.2V??
