Does it save a lot of battery to turn the button light off? I see that option on here and If it's an option, then I would assume it makes a significant difference...or not? Any tips, tricks, etc on the provari would be GREATLY appreciated. I just bought it and feel like I got a new car that I have to figure out the bells and whistles on.

hmm, mine doesn't work once the light flashes .. say i'm on 4.2V (usual) button flashes, thats it .. its cut off.
what i often do is unscrew the battery half way and back in. this turns off the battery warning .. go to pd and drop it down to 3.3 and I can get another hour or so if i need it. (read: too lazy to get up and go to the charger for the other battery)
Am i missing something here . The battery is usually at 3.2 V if i do the Bc at this point, I have noticed it at a higher voltage if I have been vaping at 4.5V or so.

I try and avoid the LR stuff .. lately on 2.6Ω CE2 R5's (great at 4.3v) IMR 18650's.

too the poster above ,, yes 4.3v is what you should get out even at low battery. The current drain is higher as the battery discharges tho.

eg . assuming 100% efficiency (its closer to 80% in quick tests I did)

4.0v out into 2Ω .. is 8W (number chosen for do it in my headness) (4V^2) / 2Ω = 8W
If battery is 4v .. then its 2A drawn from the battery (8W/4v = 2A)
If battery is 3.2V then its still 8W out .. but now 8W/3.2V = 2.5A

what this means in RL .. the last half of the battery will drain faster than the first half if the volts out is kept the same.

Today I got mine ProVari Chrome. Thank you Provape. What a wonderfull mod. It went trough dainish Costum without an extra bill. The Costum had opened it; but closed it again.

I just love it with my tank. I use the 510-ego adapter from Avid Vape. There is a small slip; but less than 1/2mm. The 510 extender adapter is to short.

You can see the small slip here:

Dane- I also just got mine two days ago and have the same issue. None of my atty's screw all the way in. I'm assuming this is just a known fact about the provari since I'm not the only one. Doesn't really bother me that much, I would LIKE it to fit flush...but what are ya gonna do? I'm sure not sending it back and waiting another two weeks! Do you know what it was like waiting for this one? TORTURE! So I'll learn to live with the minor defect! Although, for $200 it probably should be perfect...just sayin.

had mine for a month or so now .. I am using it with 2 adapters screwed on to too lengthen so I can screw on eGo attys. I did them up fairly tight so they don't unscrew when I remove the atty. Also had them on so long I can't remember if it screws down all the way. (510 - 901 then 901-510 btw)

point being .. it just don;t matter any more. I prefer it with the adapters on ..

with a 306 on

imo, the atty threads could vary as they are not exactly fine tuned (vs the Provari specs and machining)...
also, you should never over tighten an atty; it can push on the center pole of the atty, and it wont fire.,,,

the only thing this might effect is the air flow... but up to now, i haven't had any issues... actually i don't even look at the threads... (through my feeble eyes)
Hello everyone! Hope I'm in the right place for this! I just recently recieved my provari (I am going to be doing a review on it in the next day or two) So far I LOVE it. I just love it's versitility and how you have EVERY voltage in one. I do have one question though, I notice that my Atty's don't quite fit all the way into the provari. In other words, there are still a couple rows of threads showing on the atty after it was screwed all the way down. Is that normal, does anyone else notice that? Also, do these 18650 batteries need breaking in? I was expecting to get more battery life out of it then I have. I'm definitely happy that I ordered the extension with the 18650

we've been cautioned to switch out at the first blinking... it should be around 3.5 left (from 4.1 or 4.2... this saves battery life.
don't think it bothers the Vari, just the batts.

Ohh....see I just switched mine until the light started blinking. I assumed that meant it was about to die! The "BC" part is confusing to me....I would prefer like a 1-10 rating of how much battery you have left LoL. So at what Voltage will it stop working? and also, ya know how like an Ego after the first ten puffs goes down in voltage? Even when the battery is low will it always vape at what you set it to....ie 4.2V??

I think it stops working at about 3.5V but you can reseat the battery after it goes dead to get more out of it (I've got mine down to 3.3V before). However, I've been told not to do this as it may shorten the overall life of the battery. So I just vape until I get the red flashing light and then I'll go into Low Profile mode and continue vaping until I get the single flash that indicates a dead battery.

The ProVari regulates the voltage to whatever you set it so if you set it at 4.2V it will vape at 4.2V until it dies. This is one of the best things about the ProVari.

I don't think the LED draws much current so it shouldn't affect your battery life much having it on.

Its that way on purpose. A lot of attys have different depths to them, and cartos as well. Provari is made to work with almost everything, so some of them stick out a bit.

Ok now put a juice well on it that sucks up any leaks and I'm really done asking for stuff lol.
I mean really, a PV of this caliber should have it, all the cool kids do.

I just found this thread with a google search trying to find out if the Provari will do exactly this. For it to work really well the only thing it needs is a top cap that allows the atty to set flush with the bottom of the juice well. Seems to be the one feature the Provari is missing and the only reason I haven't bought one yet.

That kind of top can make it harder to use tanks or other attachments, but that's easy to fix using an adapter for an extension.

Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I want one of these but if you're vaping at high voltage and having to flood your atty you can waste a lot of juice over time by wiping it out of the well.

This is exactly true, I had written in a long time ago to Provape, I asked if they would keep the exact set up they have and make the outside of the 510 connector threaded to accept an 801 Atty and drill a hole on either side of the lower wall of the 510/801 connector to let the juice flow back up into the Atty no matter if you where using the 510 or 801 when you take a pulll. I believe it was Dave that I PM'd with way back when, he said they would look into this, but nothing as of yet that I have heard. I bought one when they first came out and this was my very first thought and couldn't figure out WHY they never incorporated this in the top cap design.!
