Awesome mod!

Here I sit with order number 2991... I can wait, sure.. my Girl Friend was going to surprise me with the PV to end all PVs as a Christmas gift... but it's not in the cards... so she's a little upset about it, I'll live...

But I decided enough is enough...

I'm a clever guy...

I made MY OWN VV with a voltage readout, and it measures the resistance of the atty as well.

Yeah, it's ugly, but form follows function in my world...

So... I have:
Variable Voltage
Low Battery Indicator
Indication of Voltage Under Load
Reads the Resistance of the ATTY/Carto
Reverse Voltage Protection
Shorted ATTY protection...

Everything that the PROVARI is with the exception of the push button voltage settings... it does require a screwdriver... A small price to pay or having it RIGHT NOW...

So... without further delay... I present, in ALL it's glory...

The SEMI-ProVari...

Thanks man, I worked hard on it. It's the best mod in the WORLD.

Does it come in other colors? (Red isn't my fav...)

It also comes in Stock Red (which is technically called Craptastic Harbor Freight Red), Krylon Black and Rustoleum White... These have the benefit of stealth numbering on the selector dial... no visable markings for even improved stealth vaping. I will do a limited edition in Testors transparent orange later...

Will there be a battery extension available? I did some typical half-assed research on the interwebz (ok...watched YouTube) and if I can use a 36,000mAh (pronounced; "maaaa") battery I could technically vape for 1.7 years between charges using a LR atty.

That will be rev 2.1... and it's pronounced "maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah".

Nobody noticed my 3ml juice tank, filled with blue foam on a genJoye carto...

It even has an ergonomic bend for easier mouth insertion!

It's da BOMB!

@zen = awesome :lol:

In keeping with the V-gigs offsetting entertainment, anyone interested in super batt longevity - check out my 1,500,000 mAh portable PT!!

V-gigs = Vape Gear Immediate gratification Syndrome

Yeah... not variable... no readout... won't display atty resistance... It's cool... But...

FAIL

:p:p:p

Battery Life... YOWZA! Put THAT in your eGo and smoke it... lol

Good idea on the complete list of error codes....maybe they can post it ?

You got it!

Most of the higher error codes are system monitors that are watching for any
hardware problems. Typically you will only see the lower numbers as the
higher ones shouldn't come up unless there is a problem and the device is
protecting itself, but sometimes the higher error codes can also come up with
the lower ones and its just part of the system detecting and reporting a
problem. Like if you put a 1.5ohm resistor on and crank it up to 6 volts you
might see an E8 then an E2. This happens because the converter detected a
problem outputting power and will display that error first before the E2
kicks in.

E1 - Element Short - Lower the Voltage or replace the atomizer

E2 - Current Limit Exceeded - Lower the Voltage

E3 - Temperature Limit Exceeded - Let the device cool off

E4 - Input Voltage to DC/DC converter error - Contact ProVape

E5 - Converter has a problem - Contact ProVape if you get this error

E6 - Microprocessor has a problem - Contact ProVape if you get this error

E7 - Voltage output when there should be none - note this can be caused by a converter fault OR by an open atomizer. Only contact ProVape if you know the atomizer is good and the problem persists.

E8 - Converter has detected a fault - Contact ProVape if you get this error

I'll have an update this evening.

Thanks for the error codes.. I'll have to remember these for "when" I get my vari!
