I really wanted to do an initial battery life test but with Christmas coming, and knowing the next few days are going to be crazy, I went ahead and put my batteries on the charger.

Additionally, I don't have any real experience with the IMR's. Maybe these need a few charge cycles to hit peak capacity?

The trust fire's are longer batteries. I would recommend getting some AW High drain as they really do work the best. If the battery is too long and its being jammed into the PCB by the end cap that could cause issues.

thats what i figured and thanks for the responce, i ordered the high drains.
the provari is of absolute beauty, everything screams high quality. merry christmas to the provape family and to all the members

For those using regular protected non IMR batteries you may notice that your device appears to turn off by itself.

If your using non IMR batteries and you have batteries that have the built-in protection, what can happen is if you draw too much current from the battery it will trip the batteries shutoff circuit and it would require that you remove the battery and reinstall before it comes alive again. This is built into the batteries circuit and is not a problem with the ProVari.

This won't happen with the IMR batteries.

Very true but hopefully Liv2Ski will clear up the matter because even with a linear voltage regulator the time would smash this. I opted for this device being able to go more then 8 hours on 1 charge.

I've been getting around 12+hrs off mine with the 18490 using Boge LR 510 cartos(2.0ohm) @ 4.5 volts. Close to 14 hrs if I set @ 4.2. I don't hit this thing constantly so YMMV, but I leave for work at 4:00am and don't have to swap batts until arond 7:00pm that evening.

update:: got a imr batt to use from my brother and now it screws on properly and works so incredibly., I cant get over the quality and the simplicity of the menu, being able to see the battery power left and to see the ohms of the cart or atty is simply outstanding, its got the perfect weight as well and is so much smaller then i could have conceived. Brilliant in every way.

Was that with a fully charged battery to? Asking because that seems really low for a 1100 mAh battery considering this is PWM technology it should last much longer..

Yes derek fully charged. And I was driving all sorts of atty's/cartos very hard. Mostly at 5 volts (probably 30 - 40 mins at 6v). I do not beleive this is low since I was BREATHING through it. Imagine when you first get a new toy:laugh: In 3.5 hours that was well over 10mls of juice! In fact I made a special 2mg/ml sauce so I would not get nic head. I am 100% certain they will last most people well over 8 hrs! I think a better estimate of batt usage is msl of juice consumed anyway. Happy Holidays

Alright Provape guys, since nobody else has said it I will. Stop what you are doing and go spend some time with your families. USPS isn't going to do anything anyway. Anything sent today won't get where it's going any faster than it will if it is sent Monday, and sending it today increases the chances of it getting lost/mis-routed. We've been waiting for our ProVari's for quite a while now anyway, we can wait a couple more days. Catch your breath, relax, and have a wonderful Christmas.

To all the Provape guys. You guys rock. you did a great job busting your butts man. I hope everyone of you has a Merry Christmas. You guys did a great job man just wanted to let you know. Thanks.

Yea, I sure hope the boss gives all of those ProVape elves a big Christmas party for all their hard work. (a bonus would be even better)
(especially the guys in the shipping dept. ) it's not often that someone goes out on a limb like this with a new startup product and has it met with such success. ProVape could be the new Microsoft of the vaping world. I mean if Badkolo likes it,, well nuff said............ Marry Christmas all.
