Get a cheap multimeter and stop guessing! 3 bucks at Harbor Freight (or similar) leaves no excuse not to have one....LOL

Nice vid, Scott.
lol well in 4 weeks i wont need one because ill have my provari! :D but i just read somewhere that they are 2.5 ohms and quite different then a standard joye

I'm having one strange issue with the ProVari. I use E2 Cartomizers on it but I find that about half the cartos won't thread onto the connector. They work fine on every other mod I have but for some reason won't screw on to the ProVari. Anyone else having this issue?

Not with the Provari, but I have experienced this with cartos on my AFS. I really to think the threads vary slightly from maker to maker.

Looking closely at the threads on the E2 carto's, I can see that the ones that fit have a different thread than the ones that don't fit. I seem to remember that the manufacturer changed the threading due to problems people were having. I'm pretty sure that the ones that fit are the newer ones. The bad part is that both kinds were included in the same package. Hopefully once they "dump" the older ones by mixing them with the new ones all will be well!

I'm actually one of the few carto fans out there. I've just never like attys or dripping for that matter. eGo cones tighten the draw but I've stopped using them in favor of my Phidias or other 18650 mods while I wait for my PV to arrive.

On the box mods, I cut a carto end-cap ("condom") in half and slip it over the bottom of the carto as close to the connection as possible and that tightens it right up. I'm hoping that with the PV I won't need the added sleeve any more but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

PS - I have found that IkenVape's 801 fusions are nice and tight, even with the adapter, but they've been out of stock for a while. I think those will rock the house on the PV.

What's funny is it seems like all my vaping buds are into cartos & I'm one of the few still clinging to my attys! LOL

when you say you cut it in half, this may sound funny, but are you talking making the cut horizontally or vertically?
My first vision was cutting it vertically & basically setting it up against the carto, but then I thought horizontally, it would make it shorter & then it's just slipped over the carto & worked down towards the connection point.

I've tried a couple cartos on the eGo & the correction I found to it being too tight is to unscrew it just a little bit. This seems to adjust the flow. But I've never stuck with it, since in my mind (probably totally unfounded LOL) things should be screwed in all the way or problems could arise.

Being able to adjust the volts has made the cartos more enjoyable and I have no doubt if I'd just stick with it for a week, I'd mentally adjust too. If I ever just sit down & get to that point, then the attys will just be used at gathering for drip taste testing.

It will be a week tomorrow that I've had this new toy & every day, I'm falling more & more in love with it. I'm even starting to ease out of the constant vape mode, which is helping my batteries last longer than 8 hrs LOL

Have any of you lucky ones used a 3.2 ohm ce2r4 on the Provari? What volts will the carto handle without burning the juice?

Too many variables to sufficiently answer that question. Different juices will handle different temps...uh...differently. But my DIY mint blend runs a ~3.2ohm CE2-R4 at 4.8v quite nicely.

Like JohnyVape said, every juice is a bit different. I run a 2ml 3.2Ω Clear mod E2 with Halo Freedom juice. I think the E2 carto's taste burnt long before the actual juice begins to burn. For me, 3.8v to 4.2v is my range with 4.0v being my sweet spot. The E2 Carto's just don't wick fast enough to use higher voltage than that, even the 3.2Ω ones.

The CE2 is to blame. They wick poorly, even with the clear tube/tank mods. Adding PTB helps but not always enough (IMO).

I have "clearomizers" in transit from China. Supposedly they have better wicks. We shall see.

In the meantime, try dripping directly on the coil. It'll keep it wet while the wicks do their thing.

Cut them horizontally so that you have two open ends. Then just slide it down the carto tube. You can slide it up and down a little bit at a time to find the air-flow that works for you. I, personally, like a tighter draw so I slip it all the way to the bottom.

Thanks for the tip!
All the WAY down made a draw non-existant, but lifting it up a hair really help tighten things up.
Awesome! Thanks again!

IA. please let us know how they work... are those the Tank type?
I'm curious about those that come modded from COV.... MAP Tank ...

Nice vids from across the pond.... the gentleman in the white shirt stated that 3.5 or 3.6 is what a standard "3.7" batt pv would provide... i don't think so...

i'm a stickler for that type of info... I've seen that the workhorse eGo batt, maybe the standard for "3.7" pv's is tested at true voltage of 3.1....

I believe that's true info based on scientific tests... if so, please get the facts straight... i do appreciate the nice vid though.

I've got lots of respect for guys like storm and pirate. They took a product that had potential and made it better. I've made quite a few syringe mods but gave them away because of the wicking issue. I added plenty of PTB and it helped, but was never as good as a carto or an atty. MAP is just a big tank. It is a great feature if you need to go long stretches without the ability to refill. It doesn't really improve the experience though, IMPO.

Clearomizers supposedly have thicker wicks that move the fluid faster. I'll know for sure once mine arrive. I'm not expecting much, but I've been surprised before.

I'm working on a new type of delivery system that is simple and doesn't leave you with a tube hanging outside of your tank/atty/carto and isn't a clip-in like the VapeMate and doesn't use wicks. The problem I'm having right now is getting small enough versions of the delivery system so that the reservoir is a reasonable size. All of the parts are pretty cheap, I just need something to miniaturize them for me. I'm in contact with a manufacturer and hoping to get some new samples next week. If I get one small enough, they'll be out soon. I could make them now but they'd be pretty big and I think that is fine for some people, but not everyone. Wish me luck, ha-ha!

good luck IA, you have good taste, and should be a benefit to the community here..

if the tankers are just more of the same, then you would be right...

i'll have to try some out when you're up and running with product.

I dont care for cartos but willing to try the best..

Right now i'm a dripper... i haven't wanted to fiddle with the VM just because fiddling is not what i'm into. Funny i even drip half the time on my Phid...
I have a super T contoured wide mouth d/tip on my Provari; bottle / needle for dripping... when i want to drip from a normal juice bottle, i take the drip tip off... and it's a bit tight.. i like slightly loose fitting d/t's for that reason.
