Ren, the first time I heard Grimm Green say "mazz" while referring to a battery, I nearly dropped my can of diet coke... Seriously...

Attys and cartos are ALL low resistance devices and these are ALL low voltage.

This is a great discussion to have, and it would be a real shame to have it lost in this supplier forum... Somebody should start a standards thread, and we may actually effect a change in the industry.

When the guy at the Harley shop said I needed premium gas in my bike... I put premium gas in my bike. Will it run on regular, yep... Just not as well.

ProVape seems to have tested the suggested cell and has decided it is the optimum choice, and it appears that they want to make a single suggestion that they absolutely know will perform as tested. By removing the variables they can deliver a product that when used as directed, will deliver an insurable level of quality.

Will others work in some way? Of course. Can ProVape guarantee that? They are not in the business of batteries, they only need to suggest something they know has been tested to deliver the results they promised.

I have no problem with it.

I couldn't have said it better.
Its not that other batteries won't work, its that we selected one battery type that has good power output, low internal impedance and is a cell that has a excellent reputation for quality and reliability. Its also the battery that has been tested the most in our lab and its doing an excellent job. While I don't have technical numbers right now on all the different battery types, Zen has the answer: "Two days after the first ProVari is delivered there will be empirical data demonstrating different performance for a half dozen or more cells."

We've been very busy adding new features to the ProVari and you guys will be excited that its turned into a lot more than what we originally posted.
We will annouce the new features soon, need a little more time to get them all done.

Be Safe and Happy T-Day!

Can I ask a simple question, unrelated to batteries?

I currently have a supply of LR 510's... about 10. Those are the ONLY attys I have right now, as I'm using an Ali'i, and they work great with it!

Do I need (or do you experts recommend) that I stock up with some standard 510 attys, or can I save my dimes and nickles and simply use the LR, being the ProVari IS a variable voltage device? Can I simply dial down the voltage, and stick with LR, or is there some legit reason I should get some standard 510's, before my ProVari arrives?

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The LR attys will work fine and you can just dial it down :)

When you get some higher ohm atomizers you will gain more voltage options that you can select from.

yes, yes, as a newbie who like shel i.e.. who comes in to the game today,
and who want the best that the vendors can market,
and me, who does't know the historical evolution of vaping and especially the
technological background,
but are dead serious about getting good quality, "user friendly" devices, and accessories,
i just say THANK YOU for keeping it understandable, as well as state of the art (advanced).

The ProVari thread, in the realm of marketable, user friendly state of the art devices is a great subject matter for learning for us newbies.

Wow is that ever a positive note, more features that we all will be able to enjoy and like, great news, it just keeps getting better and better this Provari does. About the only other thing this unit could have is a juice feed system or a tank to put on the top of it at this point. I apologize for raising the Battery question in a way but on the flip side I don't, and now I'm extra curious as to how the 2900mAh AW will compare to the 1600 IMR as they are both exceptional Batts, this unit can't hit my mailbox soon enough, and this thread is a super thread by the way, thank you David, your input is always fantastic.

Is anyone interested in a flux capacitor add-on option so we can get 1.21 gigawatts of power from the ProVari?

Sure, as long as it will be covered under the current extended warranty.

Also am I correct in assuming I'll be able to use my "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor" to supply the power :)

I'm interested in every innovative new advancement you can possibly put on this monster as long as it has been tested and has purpose and functionality personally, I didn't think it could even get any better.

Question on the ESP, I received an email for the ESP must this be purchased before my unit is shipped or do I have so many days to decide after using my unit, I would much rather test my unit first but most likely its going to be before it is sent, please let me know, thanks
