Ditto on the comments regarding Provape- you guys not only set the bar for PV's with the ProVari, but the whole process from announcement, through the beta and shipping has been exempilary.
The communications, open dialoge and professionalism has been outstanding.
This is still a cottage industry and we've seen many attempts to bring products to market with the best intentions go awry in the past year - mostly because people with good ideas have underestimated the amount of effort/resources necessary to sucessfully manufacture and bring a commercial quality product to market.
Thank you for taking the time and effort, and committing the resources to make this vision a reality.
Also, thank you for making this such a pleasant experience- it's been an honor to be a part of it.

Thank you to all for the nice comments!!!

I see on the web site the alerts E1, E2, and E3 but what is E8, I got this on one of my cartomizers. I checked it on my Prodigy V2 and the carto works. This is an 808 carto used on an adapter, would that have something to do with it? It either gives me and E8 and on retry an E1. Anyone know? Maybe not making a good connection on the adapter?

Both of these errors are related to a short circuit. So the device is shutting itself down because it detected a short. The reason your other device is allowing it to work is because it doesn't have any protection against that and its going to drive voltage into the short, which is not good. It could be your adapter or the 808 carto that is shorting. It could also be that the voltage is set too high and the device has detecting the atomizer ohms dropping into a short so either way its preventing further damage from happening.

If lowering the voltage doesn't work then you have a short somewhere and should replace the carto or adapter.

ok let's hear about atty / voltage recommendations for the ProVari... maybe a little early, but
I'd like to know what people are using.
What atty type/ brand/ Ohms/ PV voltage....

I've notice this thread has slowed down quite a bit, I like reading about features and comments from folks that already have the vari and seeing pics....
Let's see em"!

Yes maybe this would be good, whats your favourite juice that you have been using on a standard set up say a tornegova and have you improved the flavour by selecting a different voltage on the Provari?

I blieve there has been some discussion of this already but I will list my current combos.....
My preference is a 306 1.6 ohm cisco atty at 3.7v
I have also used a 510 3.2 ohm atty at 4.7v
I frequently use 3.0ohm e2 cartos at 3.5-3.8v depending on the juice I choose....
I myself feel as though I get the best flavor and vapor on a LR atty such as the 306 some may disagree and say it doesn't matter LR,REG,HV Because of the variable voltage but it's just my opinion....

I have tried a 306 on my Ali'i, at 3.7v, and it was way too hot! Not sure if I just got a bad 306, or if they're just not for me, but if I drew too long, it would burn the juice, and if I dragged short, it wasn't enough.

I take about 6-8 sec drags and it isn't hot at all seems just perfect for me no burnt juice at all...

Started vaping 21/08/2010 with a riva901 along with a 5 pack of lr901 in rotation every day with my fave home made mixes. My coffee/choc atty died yesterday so tried a lr510 on my riva510 with the same mix and god its so harsh and a flavour killer compared with the riva lr901.Hoping I can dial it down with the Provari and get back to that decent taste or even even better taste with the 901lr. Not to mention the E2 disasters.

So you never liked the CE-2's either??? I have had all versions thinking the next one would be good. I never found one that was "all that". I do however swear by the Cisco LR306's but if you do not like a warm vape then these might not be a favorite for you. For Cartos I like the Boge LR 2.0 or 1.8 ohm. Provape has the 1.8 and they are nice, real nice.

Hang in there zebbydog we are getting closer and closer to the 2960's and 70's. Hoping some shipped today to get us even closer

DO you prefer a LR Carto on a 3.2-3.7V device or a regular one at 5.0V? Right now I'm using a LR Carto on my eGo but loved a regular one on my Little Sister VV mod. Once I get my ProVari, I'm looking forward to going back to regular carto's.

Havent found a carto I like yet and believe me it isnt for the lack of trying. E2r3 in 510 format was too hot and killed all flavour, then got r4 in 808/901 format this solved the the flavour problem but they have a wicking problem and need a ptb mod (or at least the first one out of the box did) the second on one is superb and all you would ever want. But it is so hit and miss with em so wont be buying anymore E2's until they get their quality control up to scratch. The best I have had is the 5 pack of LR901 attys from from Liberty flights uk which I am still using since last august.

Couldn't agree more with the QC issue, out of 100 of the CE cartos i went thru about 6 before getting one that was sweet. I like them for one reason, becuse they have the potential to be way better than any stuffed carto i have ever tried. I can live forever with my current HV setup but want a device that the average noob can vape and go "wow", and have that performance for way less $$ than they were spending on cigs. I have tried almost every single atty/batt combo and none and i mean none of the conventional attys perform at 3.7V for more than a couple of days. Modding carts and other fixes we all take as normal won't get the majority of smokers to quit killing themselves. I think the ceramic cartos are the best hope for a disposable system that doesn't require topping off every 10 minutes and provides consistent performance since they are disposable and economical. For that, I personally will continue to try them and help them improve. Royalsmokers and the manufacturer Microcig have been very good at responding to our input and I hope it continues. The only other carto i have tried that may step up and fill the need for the average person trying to quit is the greencig carto but their pricing has never fallen in line. Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread, didn't realize what topic this was.....

Okay, the ProVari siren song fills my head day and night.
I can't sleep anymore, I must give in.

So I am selling off all the stuff I have accumulated over the last 17 months that I'll never use again...
--LR 510 atomizers, 306 atomizers, BE112 atomizers, etc.

Once my Paypal account hits $180 I'm pulling the trigger!!
Oh, my Chucks... my poor Chucks....

Not the chucks. The ProVari would look good right between them in your avatar. Just charge it DC2. Vape now pay later. Plus you can use all those atty's on the ProVari.

couldn't agree more- plus all those attys you didn't think you'd ever use become usable with your Pro Vari- put the order in and wait till you've had it for a week or two - then sell what you need to in order to cover the difference....

FWIW- I just parted with my V3 after coming to the realization that I'm never going to use it again.
