Cheap tool. Carefully hook the center connection (of your cartomizer/atomizer) and gently ease it out a bit, using a rocking motion, without twisting. You won't have to pull it out much.

We had a vaping meet in November here in Rochester, and I "fixed" several "blown attys" that were simply pushed in too far... it happens all the time... ESPECIALLY when going back and froth from device to device. I have had new attys fail to connect as well... give it a tug and VOILA' all better! The E7 code is telling us the unit isn't seeing that atty there, so theres a good shot that this is the problem

it must be me, but i have never not been surprised how fast the IMRs run down... i have 3 aw IMR 18490's, and 3 of the 18650; kinda wish i had nixed on the smallers...

still curious about using a reg 18650... anyone doing that?

what does E7 mean?

i put a HV 306 Iken on and it doesn't work on the unit... E7 came up ... when i changed out batts i tried again and nothing came up; it just woudn't fire with the HV306... works fine otherwise...

and the HV 3.5Ohm 306 is working kinda nice on a eGo usb batt... ??? i pmm'd it at 3.5Ohm ...

Hmmm... Never got the error, that's all I've used on the vari so far is the ikenvape HV 306! Works fine for me.

Hmmm, I keep re-ordering atty's cause I figured they were blown, maybe I should try this. I used to throw them out but I have kept a few "broken" ones. I still don't get how to do it, though. Maybe I'll check YouTube to see if there is a tutorial.

Bring them to Rochester for the Cabin Fever meet on January 29, we'll take a look at them... if you have a multi-meter you can check to see if they are indeed blown, by the way.

the center pin (cylinder) is a half a hair above the rim; like it should be a whole hair... ?

Now using the AW 18650's... haven't run down yet, and I've been using 'em all day... about 7 hours so far. Not sure what you mean by reg 18650... do you mean non - IMR 18650's? I owned the AW IMR's for my Ali'i, before I received/purchased the ProVari, so as long as that's what ProVape recommended, that's what I've used.

Not sure if this info will help you or not, but...
I have been using a LR510 atty on my Ali'i for about four, five weeks, and it works great.

When I recieved my ProVari, I took it off my Ali'i, and put it on the ProVari... got an error message (sorry, don't remember which number, but I looked it up, and it was the error that there was a short in the device)

LR atty still working fine on my Ali'i... no go on the ProVari.

I'd love to find a small, tight fitting case, perhaps with belt clip (for that "geeky" look I strive so hard to achieve) for my ProVari! I think you'd have to remove the atty, when carrying it around... but that's not that big of a problem.

I tried calling the store that carries these, but they're back east, and closed for the day. Need to find out the demensions of the flashlight that this is designed for. What I really need to do is, find a flashlight that is approx. 4.6"L x 0.90" D, then find a case for that particular flashlight.

Thats kinda cool... add a sliderule case on your other hip for balance and you're good to go!

Found a quick simple and affordable solution for the Juice spill over issue when using the VapeMate!

While the catch cup designed and built into the ProVari is nice and holds a lot of juice, it could not contend with excess juice sometimes offered by the VapeMate.

E-Juice would build up in the cup often un-noticed until you picked up the unit and held it at an angle to comfortably vape. Surprise! Juice running down your hand and the ProVari as it overflowed the edge of the cup. Also no method to pull the NEWLY expressed juice back into the atty.



Both issues solved:

Using the upper portion of a KYD 5mL syringe and a $3.00 tubing cutter I was able to produce a mod within two minutes that perfectly fits into the outer ring of the ProVari catch cup. The fit is superb. As you insert the mod into the CC it seems to snap into place. I decided to use the portion of the syringe near the top which includes both tabs. The fit is solid enough that I could swing the ProVari with the VapeMate attached around with an 18650 battery installed and found the Juice Shield did not budge from its insertion point at all.

Now I can tilt the ProVari to vape angle with NO juice pouring out and the NEW juice should it extend into the area of the air inlet slot(s) will be drawn back into the atty for your vaping pleasure...

One addition that I have not implemented yet will be to add a small rubber o-ring that fits tightly onto the 510 body. With the o-ring attached you can easily roll the ring down to the top of the mod which will seal off the opening of the Juice Shield allowing you to carry the PV in a coat pocket or lay it on its side without e-juice pouring out of the Juice catch cup/Juice Shield.

2. 3 dollar tool
3. 2 minutes of work
4. Done

In all seriousness, IMO, the VapeMate is an ugly add-on that is just a little better than dripping. I know lots of people disagree, it just seems silly to have to mod it further when it's pretty unsightly to begin with.

i figure that the VM should work seamlessly, given the skill and setup... which is variable right now for me. I don't like a vape that works on juices that pool on the bottom. I'll want my VM to deliver just the right amount every time or I won't want to bother. Some are getting that now.

imo the only thing that separates the Provari from the mods of the future will be a juice system... thinkin outside the box, one day attys will be revamped and so will a juice delivery system.

Just wanted to provide an update on my situation.

Provape shipped me out a replacement unit via Express mail---very cool.
In the interim, my original unit started to work perfectly. Who knows, I could just be a ..... but my original unit seems to be working perfectly and I am really enjoying it.

I just want to thank Provape to jumping into action as soon as they thought there was a problem. Just another way they have shown themselves to be a top notch supplier who will surely be getting some addition business from yours truly.
