No there is wire mesh which is used as the wick, two stainless Rods running through tank... The coil is in the top section.....

They have great customer service at ProVape.
If you have a problem, I'm sure they will work with you to get it fixed.
It just won't be free.

Cuseguy, I should have an update early next week... A great deal of orders will be shipped next week! I'd love to give you guys a specific number of units that are going out.. But I would not want to mislead anyone if there is a hold up on some orders for any reason.

I'll do a extensive review tomorrow--I just got in and the beers are telling me it would be better that way. I can say this thing rocks! I been vaping at 5.3 volts on a 510 5v debridged atty and the flavor,vapor, and th are awesome. If you have the Provari, there is no need for anything else.
