My take on the Evic so far after 2 weeks usage ... bloody fragile. 1st incident, crouched down with it in pocket (atomizer screwed on) ... ~priak~ Evic's top cap came off revealing chipset n wires inside, popped it back in place no damage. 2nd incident 2 days ago dropped it on the chair which then rolled and dropped onto the floor ... same outcome but this time connecting wires + & - both snapped + some scratches ... had to solder wires back on with my old man's glasses on lol.

Its auto detection for resistances of atomizers screwed on is a big plus, it can be charged using the same charger as my samsung phone thats also a plus. But other than that i find it too fragile for my liking.

Those extra features are just gimmicks... you don't really need a puff counter, or a whatever indicator, all you need to know is your coil's resistance and your supplied voltage, from there you know what the amperage is and what you want it to be at. Provari provides with all the basics of what you need with an incredibly solid build, only question now is, do you want to spend on an eVic that might not be reliable and be replaced maybe 2 or 3 times? Or just get a Provari which will last you a long time.

Take and smash the eVic =x

Well, OP... It really depends on what you plan to use e mod with.

If you're on cartos, clearos and e like, e Vari would be nice to have but not necessary. An LT works just fine. Or a ZMAX. Or a Bamboo. Or a Gripper.

But if you're going e rebuildable way, e Vari will be relegated to e ranks. You won't be needing or using it much.

Anyway, most of us upgraded from a crap device to a Vari (before moving on). It is a solid build, looks btr than e other mass-market VV devices and is consistent. Mini or Standard, it's your choice. E moment e Mini went on sale last year in Feb, I got one. 18350 is a nice size, but be sure to have plenty of spare batts to carry around as it'll last you ard 4-5 hrs tops, vaping at 4.2-4.5V.

But... Here's e downer: e manufacturer doesn't ship to Sg anymore. You'd have to look ard for other retailers.

Good luck!

it's really personal choice. if you got money to throw go for the provari. if u're the conservative type, get the evic. i made a choice to get the evic and haven't regretted it so far.

oh and i've dropped it about 3 times (butterfingers ikr) and not even a single scratch. im pretty suprised myself. it does feel light though. but oh well, theres a saying that goes the bigger they are the harder they fall. i'd bet the provari would smash just as well as any other mod (except Zens of course).

the only gripe until now is the fact that it cannot go above 11watts. but then again i don't know anyone who vapes that high. and for the other "useless" bells and whistles, you actually have a choice whether you wana use them or not. personally i don't but even if you wanted to you can't do that on a vari.

but i'll admit the vari looks better, and feels sturdier. its a vertu vs iphone kinda battle here.

GG then, is indestructible. So are most other mech mods. If you drop a Zenesis, e glass tank will break and there will be dings everywhere, same like other SS mods. Do you have a Zenesis to prove this is true...?

Also, e Vari has a 3.5A limit. E way I count is, A/C = Volt / Res. So... Let's do some simple Math here: 6V / 2Ohms = 3A. What is e wattage here...? (6 x 6) / 2 = 18W. I cn't remember driving e Vari this high, but I do remember getting at least 12-13W of power out of it, though.

Where does this info come from? Did the provari website state that 11 watts is their maximum? I personally remember pushing 12+++.

Bro, do you have a provari? I've been using mine close to a year along with many of the forumers here. Its not just a VERTU vs IPHONE thing. You are sorely mistaken.

Its more a cheap china multitool vs a Bahco/ elora. The MIC multitool can do everything but nothing well and breaks easily. The Bahco does just one thing very well and is indestructable. The engineers here will appreciate what I am saying.

Sometimes I do wish that I have a set of bahco or snap-on for my car maintenance. Hell I wish I have a personal workshop so that I can work on my car. There are so many thing I know how to do it but don't have the space and tools to do so.
