Im 40 myself and we got one of those kind of VCR when I was 12. I was telling my daughter how we use to rent a VCR and how that was a treat. She couldn't believe that people actually rented them but I told her they were a whole lot more expensive back then.

I remember my dad renting a color TV so we didn't have to watch the Wizard of Oz in black and white. Big event we waited all week for, popcorn and everything. Dad had to keep twisting the antenna on the roof to keep the colors alive LOL :)

I've only seen it in black and white. It was sort of a Gloomy movie tho, I think B&W would be apropo.

edit- Lol, I was just discussing this with my 13yr girl and she pointed out that they separated the dream sequence from the reality and the movie was in both,- B&W and color.
Does that mean your dad was on the roof trying to turn the B&W parts to color? Lol.

We didn't have a color tv til I was 8 and I was amazed the first time I seen the Wizard of Oz turn to color. Dumb me always thought it was in Black and White . Man kids just do not know how good they got it now.

My kids will complain how bored they are and they both have satelite tv in their room and playstations and stereo. When I was 14 and we moved I was thinking we were high rolling cause we had central heat and air! Didn't have to live in one room cause thats where the heater and air conditioner was!

I dont know what makes it so much better? USA quality build... You set it at 4.8 volts and thats whats deliverd to you atty under load..
You set a twist at 4.8 volts and you get approx, 4.5 volts to you atty under load... You drop a twist a few times and it stops working, drop a Provari and it still works.. The list goes on and on....

American made was the biggest motivator in my purchase. A week in and no regrets.

My wife and I quit analogs about 7 weeks ago and we started our vaping experience with the kind of normal stuff, EGo. The second week I wanted a spare and bought an Itazte MVP (which I like). Read all the reviews of the Provari on this site and watch a few youtube videos. I first bought a black Provari regular and then bought a red Provari mini for the wife and we LOVE it !!, they have become the only mod we use and the others are use as spares. My mother in law just purchased a black Provari mini today, so you can say we are Provari family.

Vaping on my Provari with an AGR Tank. One of the best non-RBA/RDA vapes around. I have 15 other APV's and PV's. This is the one I use at home. Out and about with the missus, well, that's a different story...and a different thread. Better than a Twist? Yeppers. Worth $200, that's an entirely personal and subjective issue. Provari is a high-end device. It's not for everyone, and certainly not needed to vape and quit analogs... That being said, it's pretty nice. Good luck to you!

I just started vaping about 3 weeks ago and I too started with a couple ego twist batteries. Ego was awesome but I kind of got bit by the vaping bug and started to look into rebuildable atomizers right away. Picked up an astro mod and a Igo-w within the firs two weeks and started dripping. I loved it but found it to be difficult to do on the go. I wanted something reliable with long battery life and vv so I broke down and bought a provari. The reason I went with provari is because it seemed the most solid/durable of all the LCD vv mods. Add to that, I found an murdered out one and Im loving it in between using a mech mod w/a dripper or my kayfun (best atomizer ever in my opinion).

Check out my setup. If you do buy a provari, and all youve used is an ego, you wont be disappointed.

BrettReed, where did you find this all black one at? That looks awesome. I personally don't like chrome and having that top piece black instead of chrome would be awesome.

I think I'm gonna buy the provari starter kit from provape. Seems to have everything I need. If a product gets this many great reviews, it must be worth the money. Another question(completely off topic), how do y'all get the signature thing that says how long since your last analog, money saved and analogs avoided? I'd like to have that on my profile.

I think you have to have around 15-20 posts until you can have a signature.

@TexasGuy - I'm sitting on the edge right now to order a ProVari, but then I started looking into the Reo Mini 2.1 today. I think that is a killer mod since I like to change e-liquids a lot. But since the Mini is closer in my price range I might get that now and then get the ProVari later on in the year. So now I'm gonna be vaping on the Silver Bullet in the mean time.

My dad was a kid in LA when they made WOZ. He has a lot of munchkin running around town stories and seeing Judy Garland being driven to the studio by her mom etc. He knew it turned from B&W to color. I think he tried to get the colors right before WOZ came on but not all shows were in color in the early sixties but I can't remember exactly, that was a long time ago.
