Heya..........

Today marked 3 full weeks since the batteries were pulled from the two in-service Radius, the Kabuki's washed out and everything put away in their boxes. I'm actually doing OK. I'm still using nic lozenges, but fewer each day. And for the first time in years, I've gotten on the elliptical (what I had tried to convince myself was a modern sculpture piece in a room in our home, supposedly dedicated to working out, which never got used) and pushed my cardio-vascular system hard every single day and we're going for a long, brisk 2 - 3 mile walk in the evenings. My BP has returned to a more normal level and I'm sleeping much better at night. While I truly enjoyed vaping and it got me off cancer sticks, now more than 10 years ago, I'm determined to be a non-inhaler of anything other than oxygen.

I have read the reports that smokers are somehow getting Covid-19 in fewer numbers than non-smokers. They don't seem to know if it's the cancer sticks or nicotine, but interesting none-the-less. They do say however, if a smoker gets the virus they have a much more difficult time with it, so of course it's not worth being a smoker as everyone here knows well.

I was informed my office will reopen on May 11th. I'm not sure how I feel about going back into the office, but since they have been paying me the past 5 weeks to work from home, and they promised to not lay any of us off, I will be a good soldier and go back. I do worry about being in an office building again. I hope the return to some semblance of open doesn't lead to more cases of this virus, which has now claimed more lives in the US than the Vietnam War and according to one estimate I saw 4 times the number of deaths from the Flu in just 4 months than a full year of Flu infections. Time will tell.

Just thought I'd say hey to my Provarinati family and hope you're all well.

Ps: Haven't posted pics of the kitties in a long time. For those who remember Emi and Eri, they are beautiful, healthy and they say hello:

If I were as miserable as Michael Moore I'd off myself.

At least he did not have any kids although to be frank no matter how matter rich he gets it might be humanly impossible, the excavation that would have to occur.

I have been as miserable as Michael Moore the last time I ate fast food I decided for some reason to order a DOUBLE whopper with cheese and I had indigestion for a long time because I looked at it and went, "I'mma gonna have to eat this fast." I don't puke by choice I sure wish I did.

To be HONEST, I used to be a liberal at one time and even then I just could n not get "behind" MM so to speak (physically maybe 20 of me would have a good hiding spot) but just mentally? NOPE.

Dude, I am real sorry you grew up in Flint Michigan and all that and your dad got fired, but well, nothing justifies your attempts at journalism. I think like, what he did to Clint Eastwood AND the whole Columbine mess, he should have been arrested for that. IT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE, Not to mention his commentary about W and the kids. It was the first time I saw that footage, that movie, and I watched it 10 years later without the commentary and I was like COULD THERE BE A WORSE HUMAN (not W)?

To be fair, Rush Limbaugh is also not my fave of all time and I think he's pretty miserable right now too he has stage 4 lung cancer.

I just that type of rabble rousing on either side is HOW WE GET NOWHERE AND FAST.

I started the first 10 minutes and I was like "Oh god WAIT I am already suicidal why am I doing this to myself?"

Also all the humans and the trees and stuff, sorry viruses are species, trees are species, it's not even SENSIBLE right from the get go. I am well aware the way things MAY or MAY not go but the human race has been predicting it's decline for A LONG TIME NOW and well, so far?

STILL WAITING.

However, I do worry enough about my kid that when every egg I shed (I am at the age where they say "BIRTH ME. My name is Megan and I will be your successful writer!" I say "Sorry honey, it just is a little rough down here currently we don't need to increase population.

I have done my part .LOL I married TWO guys neither of whom had kids "That they knew of" and between the three of us we had ONE. I'm going to say my kid is nicer and gentler than my husband by dna and also cuz I raised him and I know how to do it without EARTH shattering trauma. The first husband could have been okay if either of his parents took a moment to BOTHER. He was unredeemable but the child was not. So he's sweet and pleasant most of the time. He is scared for the future (obviously) and gosh starting your grownupness with all THIS? It has to be terrifying.

Seems like every generation has its trauma. Be it nuclear bombs, terrorism, HIV coronavirus whatever.

The human species THINKS too much.

Welcome to the new world technocratic order...
I did find what YouTube censored, and read several rebuttals about what the docs claimed. Who knows. But, I knows that freedom of speech is essential to a democracy, and I knows that if it's cancelled so is the democracy.

Just a test post to see if the dang "Upload a File" is still weird. I will attempt to upload a single picture file just like I did last time. Guess I'll see if the forum software adds other pictures and stuff to the post or not. Lumen Sees Totus

And the actual cases are highly likely to be much, much more than confirmed cases. Many times more such that the death rate is well below 1%.
Right. We shouldn't be looking at fatalities as a % of confirmed cases, but fatalities as a % of all those who have had Corona, many many of whom were asymptomatic or trivially so.
Of course, we may never get that number since it would entail testing every one of us, which ain't gonna happen.

It could. And it might create oh JOBS like the census bureau. Door to door testing. I get lots of people would refuse but enough would NOT to ensure MORE accuracy we don't need PERFECT. We don't need every epidemiologists like, telling us WHAT LIFE TO SAVE and that each one Is sacred, and like, all that.

We just need to get a public health program going. It is only impossible if you think or believe it is not possible.

Dude, I read the "agonizing struggle" of a lady doctor today AND SHE DID SAY SHE FINALLY GOT TESTED BUT NOT THE RESULTS but I think my favorite conundrum was like she talked to a doctor pal, an abortionist, and she was all in a dither about going to work or NOT.

I started thinking about the moral and mental gymnastics you'd have to like um, feel over THAT and my head began to explode. I ah, am not sure what I would do under the circumstances but I will admit I have never seen an advertisement for Locum: Abortionist. I'm not saying it COULD'T HAPPEN I am saying I have not, personally seen it.

IDK I think if it were me (the ill abortionist.) I would post a big sign outside: "I THINK I HAVE COVID 19 HOW BAD AND FAST DO YOU WANT/NEED IT. HERE IS THE NUMBER TO THE NEAREST PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN CASE YOU WANNA CHECK YOUR OPTIONS."

But that's like a public health move .In any case in neither case was the dx confirmed or not which I found frustrating, given the AGONIZING to the nth degree SYMPTOMOLOGY. I was like by the end, really annoyed I was like, "You made me imagine all that YOU PAIR OF HYPOCHONDRIACS I bet you tested negative."

That was an interesting article. I wonder if it's all former smokers, I mean, these are stressful times. While it is illogical to turn to smoking as a vulnerable person even (my sincerest apologies to the vaper who mad the Star Trek avatar cuz it's awesome but I forget who) Spock is subject to smoking on occasion.

But well, great. :( It's good too know Marlboro is turning a profit,

That is simply sad and exactly what our F'ed up government wants. Destroying the vaping industry as a whole increases revenue directly to the government and keeps BT going strong.

The machine is strong, Mr. Rod.

In deed.

They've managed to re-direct conscious thought as it relates to the word "Evil". Sad...

Is it wrong of me to say when I need a pick me up I read JCPenny clothing catalogs from the 70s.

I am not from here and even if I was I would have JUST escaped that clothing :)

I love old stuff. This is one of my favorite pages on earth, from a funny lady who was given her mother's old weight watchers cards. It's the BEST, I am reading through them momentarily!

Weight Watchers recipe cards, circa 1974
