Heya..........
Today marked 3 full weeks since the batteries were pulled from the two in-service Radius, the Kabuki's washed out and everything put away in their boxes. I'm actually doing OK. I'm still using nic lozenges, but fewer each day. And for the first time in years, I've gotten on the elliptical (what I had tried to convince myself was a modern sculpture piece in a room in our home, supposedly dedicated to working out, which never got used) and pushed my cardio-vascular system hard every single day and we're going for a long, brisk 2 - 3 mile walk in the evenings. My BP has returned to a more normal level and I'm sleeping much better at night. While I truly enjoyed vaping and it got me off cancer sticks, now more than 10 years ago, I'm determined to be a non-inhaler of anything other than oxygen.
I have read the reports that smokers are somehow getting Covid-19 in fewer numbers than non-smokers. They don't seem to know if it's the cancer sticks or nicotine, but interesting none-the-less. They do say however, if a smoker gets the virus they have a much more difficult time with it, so of course it's not worth being a smoker as everyone here knows well.
I was informed my office will reopen on May 11th. I'm not sure how I feel about going back into the office, but since they have been paying me the past 5 weeks to work from home, and they promised to not lay any of us off, I will be a good soldier and go back. I do worry about being in an office building again. I hope the return to some semblance of open doesn't lead to more cases of this virus, which has now claimed more lives in the US than the Vietnam War and according to one estimate I saw 4 times the number of deaths from the Flu in just 4 months than a full year of Flu infections. Time will tell.
Just thought I'd say hey to my Provarinati family and hope you're all well.
Ps: Haven't posted pics of the kitties in a long time. For those who remember Emi and Eri, they are beautiful, healthy and they say hello:
