Been a long time since I saw that movie. “Starring Marlon Brando”. And he was hardly in it. Lol

The director's cut provided more insight to Kurtz, the man. The original studio version cut all that out, and for me, it mattered. In fact, I wasn't thrilled with the one I saw in the theatres, way back when. The later release spun me.

I have that dvd somewheres. I need to watch it again. I assume it has the director’s cut on it.

That version is named "Redux" (or something like that), and it's VERY long. Might be close to four hours, if my memory serves me correctly.

But worth it. There were a good number of scenes that were cut out, and really added to the movie (in my opinion).

I probably should have posted this one LAST Friday, but screwit.

I just heard on our local radio it's rude to correct folks, but the guy on the radio calleed it daylight savings. They have a callin number. Savings is what you accumulate in the bank. Wait, what?

Not much more moronic than the very concept of phlucking up our circadian rhythms twice every year.

    Standard Time rocks. :headbang:

All right, here's the deal, as I see it. And I may be totally alone in this. But, what else is new?

We haven't lost an hour due to Daylight Saving time.

Why is that SMT? Why thank you for asking!!!

You see, this year we were granted an extra 24 hours because it is a Leap Year (not Leap Years!!!).

So then, do the math. Daylight Saving, supposedly, robs us of 1 hour. However, we were given an extra 24 hours. Therefore, we still gained 23 hours this very year. Furthermore, we will gain that 1 hour back come November when we play the stoopid game of "Change The Clocks To F With Everyone" all over again.

But, then we still gained the extra 24 hours due to Leap Years!!! ;) Apply those remaining hours to the coming 3 years and we come out ahead by "X" hours. I suck at math, you do the math!!!

To make this far less confusing, Albert Einstein proved time is but an Illusion.

"In 1905, Einstein proved that time, as it had been understood by physicist and plain man alike, was a fiction. Our idea of time, Einstein realized, is abstracted from our experience with rhythmic phenomena: heartbeats, planetary rotations and revolutions, the swinging of pendulums, the ticking of clocks."

    His exact quote:

“For those of us who believe in physics, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion".

To take this a step further..........

"According to theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, time is an illusion: our naive perception of its flow doesn't correspond to physical reality. Indeed, as Rovelli argues in The Order of Time, much more is illusory, including Isaac Newton's picture of a universally ticking clock."

Therefore and furthermore and somesuch, time doesn't truly exist. Humans created time simply to F with humans (what else is new!).

But then also, there is this............

And before I forget, true reality is timeless.

    Got it now???
