I've missed you all so much!

I just saw the Archived ProVape Forum. Sad day. Almost as sad as the ProVape closing news.

Archiving the ProVape Forum seems so final. Like a friends death.

Sucks....

Strange empty feeling of loss following ProVape's we're closed announcement and the finality of archiving of the forums in the last day... When I look at what I have in rotation at this point, there's only 2 ProVari's mixed in with all the Dicodes and mechs; the P3 Ti and a ProVari mini, both running Kabuki's and the coils from the dawn of time (relatively speaking, regular 1.6Ω Aspire coils). I've mostly moved on to TC... But out of the 3 mods that got me off cigarettes back in 2010, there was Super T (RIP), ProVape (now RIP), leaving only Imeo and the GG. I'm glad the GG is eternal, and every so often I buy another piece of metal sculpture from him, but I'm unsure whether or not Imeo qualifies as a company ... more like an artisanal boutique shop which occasionally releases batches of products and parts, which all sell out 5 minutes later (in other words: about the same as always).

Goodbye ProVape and thanks for my lungs + averting all the problems that would eventually have come my way from smoking 2 packs a day. I didn't really quit because of health reasons, when I started vaping on blu's back in 2009 I didn't even intend to quit cigarettes. Nothing bad had ever happened to me, my health is good, so I had no real external motivation and pressure (other than my GF, now wife, who doesn't smoke, complaining about the whole house smelling like an ashtray. go figure). My long-term goal was to make it down to just 1 pack a day. Switching to the Super T Precise, ProVape 1, and GGTS were the combination that got me off smokes altogether, without too much effort or even intent on my part (well that, and 36mg/mL e-liquid which finally worked for me, utilizing the terrible toppers of the day, and was high enough that sufficient nic actually got into my system despite the horrible and semi-effective toppers of the time). Oh, hey, it's the same addiction, there's my nicotine fix, this seems to be working, why do I want a cig? I guess I don't...

At my current rate of use, the ProVari's I have in storage will last probably another 30 years =) While I'm not @WillyZee, @ENAUD or Zen~ with a personal ProVape museum, I anticipate there will always be at least one ProVari left in my daily rotation.

Cheers

This sounds better than KISS Alive III. Pretty cool. Maybe it was gonna be? The commercially released one I listened to @ 100 watts per channel today was released in '93 and featured Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick.

I'm curious how long did it last and what stopped working?

Haha! @coldgin96 are you aware of Willy's collection?
its about three years old, was used hard with drippers built around 1.2-1.4 Ω for much of it's life. It seems that it may be the button, because sometimes it would fire and sometimes not. But then I let it rest for about a month, and for giggles tossed a battery in and it worked for a few days without a glitch, then started acting up again, now it won't fire more often than it will. I now suspect it may actually be some component on the board that fried, but really have no idea, just guesses...

Are you sending it to Bill to fix?

undecided, I think about it but then consider my stockpile, which I amassed for this very reason. It's doubtful that I will ever run out of working units barring acts of God, theft etc., so it really isn't worth the effort or expense at this time.

FDA didnt destroy vaping....at least not on all on their own. So called vapers helped to destroy vaping too.

They took something good, and wholesome and done for all the right reasons and turned it into a competitive sport.

They threw away quality American made products in favor of the latest and greatest piece of chinese crap with all of the latest bells and whistles.

Sad to see Provape go and honestly dont even know where to even begin to look for a replacement approaching their quality, customer service, engineering or attention to detail.
