Strange empty feeling of loss following ProVape's we're closed announcement and the finality of archiving of the forums in the last day... When I look at what I have in rotation at this point, there's only 2 ProVari's mixed in with all the Dicodes and mechs; the P3 Ti and a ProVari mini, both running Kabuki's and the
coils from the dawn of time (relatively speaking, regular 1.6Ω Aspire coils). I've mostly moved on to TC... But out of the 3 mods that got me off cigarettes back in 2010, there was Super T (RIP), ProVape (now RIP), leaving only Imeo and the GG. I'm glad the GG is eternal, and every so often I buy another piece of metal sculpture from him, but I'm unsure whether or not Imeo qualifies as a company ... more like an artisanal boutique shop which occasionally releases batches of products and parts, which all sell out 5 minutes later (in other words: about the same as always).
Goodbye ProVape and thanks for my lungs + averting all the problems that would eventually have come my way from smoking 2 packs a day. I didn't really quit because of health reasons, when I started
vaping on blu's back in 2009 I didn't even intend to quit cigarettes. Nothing bad had ever happened to me, my health is good, so I had no real external motivation and pressure (other than my GF, now wife, who doesn't smoke, complaining about the whole house smelling like an ashtray. go figure). My long-term goal was to make it down to just 1 pack a day. Switching to the Super T Precise, ProVape 1, and GGTS were the combination that got me off smokes altogether, without too much effort or even intent on my part (well that, and 36mg/mL
e-liquid which finally worked for me, utilizing the terrible toppers of the day, and was high enough that sufficient nic actually got into my system despite the horrible and semi-effective toppers of the time). Oh, hey, it's the same addiction, there's my nicotine fix, this seems to be working, why do I want a cig? I guess I don't...
At my current rate of use, the ProVari's I have in storage will last probably another 30 years =) While I'm not
@WillyZee,
@ENAUD or Zen~ with a personal ProVape museum, I anticipate there will always be at least one ProVari left in my daily rotation.
Cheers
