You would think, but I'm from Texas and definitely wouldn't eat BBQ from Chicago :)

No, its a high-end, small plate type of place. Everything we ate was absolutely outstanding!

The Purple Pig
When i was growing up in IL there were livestock farms everywhere. Cattle, hogs, fowl, etc.. Cattle everywhere. Then it all disappeared in the 70's. Think you guys in Texas got it all now. :)

T for Texas!
ChiTown had some great bbq joints. Got to remember the city was once the stockyards of the country. Also know as "The hog butcher for the world". Its bbq roots go way back.
True... just my family is all from Tennesee and I'm Texas born, so my BBQ snobbery gets out of hand sometimes :)

I really do like to try other styles from all over.

Texas bbq is excellent! Got this North Carolina bbq here. I can't stand it. It is the vinegar based bbq (non-red). They love it here. Yuck!

Have three Lou Malnati's in my freezer. :)

Me too (at all times). I order the six packs when I get down to one left.

They've become a staple. OMG - blizzard's coming!!!! I hope I have enough Lou's! Screw the milk & bread.

Take a hike out to Bubba's on the Cape. It's been a few decades for me so I don't know if it's still even there.

I got the six pack last time. Having both the mail order and fresh at the restaurant pizzas I can say they are better at the restaurant but even the mail order ones are still better than most.

The problem I have with the Lou's is getting the crust to cook all the way. Nice and crispy on the bottom but the top remains gooey cuz I can't get it all the way cooked. Do you have this issue?
