OK, so hafting is the term for putting a handle on an axe, hatchet, or maul. Perhaps even some may use the term for putting handles on knives. So here is a crappy photo of that 100+ year old hatchet head:Stop it. You know the rulz.
POIDH.
(let's see the hundred year old hatchet head!) (what does re hafted it mean?) (like I'd know) (I'm just a wacko high heeled woman from La La land)

A good axe would be nice to have. All I have ever used an axe for was to dig in the dirt, and chop roots.
I'll remember that....I guess nobody ever told them that it is proper etiquette to have the finished side facing out...
That pic of my woodpile makes me happy, when we moved in here, the space between those southern pines was filled with poison ivy and Virginia creeper vines. Those tall pines were being choked by old vines that went up to the very tops of them. Some of those vines were as thick as a baseball...I sprayed and hacked away at them all summer long to get them cleared. Some of those vines have runner roots twenty feet long and more, I know because I pulled some of them up. Next year they will send new shoots up everywhere, and I will have to respray and re cut them many times before they finally die off. I WILL beat them into submission![]()
Yeah, me too. I might actually go to tractor supply in the spring and get some 2-4-D to spray on 'em.I really hate Vines.

You can find washer/dryers on Craig'slist from people who had them a few years and are moving. They sell for cheap too.I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good, mine was excellent.
Last weekend my cloths drier broke, and I was not sure at the time, but my washer also broke at the same time. The drier belt broke, I was able to get a new belt and put it on today, only cost me $10.00. After that I went to put a load in the washer, and all it would do was fill and then empty. So I went to Best Buy to just buy a new washer, and of course it was not in stock, I ordered it anyway. I should be able to pick it up on Tuesday though. It is a unexpected expense, but I have no right to complain. My first washer my brother gave me, lasted me a long time I think about 15 years, this one my boss gave me. It lasted around 8 years. So being here for 23 years I have to buy a washer. At least I only paid $10.00 to get the drier fixed though.

They don't make them like they used to.Yeah I could have gotten a used one for cheaper, but I just went ahead and got a new one, what the heck I have never had a new washer.

I've fixed a few of them in my time.Yeah I know, I still have my old one so maybe I will try to figure out how to fix it, it is a Kenmore. The new one is a whirlpool, their cheapest model. I shall see.
