A black bear wandered into a West Milford, New Jersey, back yard, was confronted by a 15-pound tabby cat named Jack, and fled up a neighbor's tree. Hissing at the base of the tree, Jack the clawless cat kept the bear at bay for about 15 minutes, then ran him up another tree after an attempted escape.

Finally, Jack's owner, Donna Dickey, called the cat inside, and the timorous trespasser disappeared back into the woods.

"He doesn't want anybody in his yard," Dickey said of Jack in an interview with the Newark Star Ledger.

Who Is Krampus? Explaining the Horrific Christmas Devil...

on a different forum in a different life, an Austrian friend of mine posted about his childhood memories of tales told to him by his parents and grandparents, regarding Krampus, and how if he was naughty, Krampus would come and haul him off into the deep dark woods...so he better behave...he said that remembering these things, and telling the children nowadays the same tales while enjoying some hot apple wine made him remember how scared he was as a child regarding these things...

I like the cross-hatching, on those screws, better than the teeth on the stock screws.
Yeah, that knurling caught my eye right away, I am going to get a pair of them screws:)

I use a plastic coated car key to tighten the notched original screws. That is not going to be possible with the smaller diameter hoh screws...

Glad I have original spares. Although using my key technique I have never had one come loose.

One of a kind colors !
Yep. He's really a good guy. Here's a pic of the leaf green metallic cerakote in Christmas trim. Look at the beauty ring. You can see it in the box too. Green metallic.

I use one of those jar opener pads.

Otherwise the teeth eat your fingers
I hated the way they left those screws so sharp, I took a 6" buffing wheel at 3,000 rpm to mine with some polishing compound, they don't bite into my palm anymore. The risk doing that was if the wheel grabbed one and tossed it, I probably never would have found the thing again.

i like the teeth on the original screws, they help me tighten them with my nails, but also like the beefy look of those new ones even though i'm not not sure how can you secure them since they don't seem to give much grip.
any ways,it's better than nothing for those who need them.
