George Carlin did a hilarious skit on this, paraphrased, he was mocking the save the earth folks, and said something like ...don't worry about the earth, it was fine before us and will be just fine long after we're gone....but what about all the plastic? Heck I don't know...maybe the earth likes plastic and that's why it let us get so numerous, because the earth wants to be decorated in plastic...and if the earth wants to get rid of all the plastic, it's got plenty of time to do it, and by the way, all the plastic came out of the earth! The earth is going to be here and it will be doing just fine long after we are gone, worry about the people, the people are the ones who need saving!

First attempt at using Radii's Coil Control: FAIL!

I used the "Discovery Method". Got up to letter "I" at Level 7 and then the battery went from full to empty. Got it on the charger now and it is charging. No idea if it killed the battery. Something aint right.

Second Attempt:

Using the Radius on Pass Through while it is charging. Fiddled with the Coil Control settings some more and it seems to be working now. Going into monitoring/fine tuning status.

Coil Control Update:

When the thing hits its max temp it doesn't adjust the temp. It just shuts off the coil. Not liking that idea.

tried it once by mistake on the 40w radius,got a weird error,reverted the firmware to 26.
still have the 40cc on the 60w but don't use it;i think dna/yihi/dicodes mods are more suited for that if i ever wanted to do TC.

I bought mine as a 60W with all the updated software. I don't see where it hurts to have the software. It's just an addition and I don't have to use it. I'm not ready to throw the towel in yet. I have to make sure I know how this thing functions before I do that. But if all Coil Control does is shut down the power once the coil reaches temp (as opposed to adjusting the power to maintain temp) then that is utterly useless to me. Certainly isn't temperature control like a DNA. It's just a nuisance safety feature it would seem to me. But again, I don't know what the purpose of Coil Control is. ProVape never said and I haven't heard it from anyone. Maybe it slipped past me.

I'm not sure they intended Coil Control to be a type of temperature control. Knowing ProVape, I think they added it for safety reasons. A 60W device made them nervous so they put this Coil Control feature in.
