Yeah, I held on to vinyl as long as I could. I would play the album once to remove the excess vinyl and play it a second time to record it onto cassette. :rolleyes: Starting at age 14, for maybe 10 years, I would buy one album (vinyl) a week. buy 10 - get 11th one free. I still have them all. My first was, Queen: "News Of The World." At the end of my vinyl buying daze, I would ask the record store clerk (I still know him - long story) to order the album on vinyl because they quit stocking vinyl (late 80's). Then, one day, I asked him to order the new Alice Cooper album, "Trash." He grabbed the phone and said he was calling the store across town to see if they had it. It seemed to me he was sick of ordering a record once a week. So, on that fateful day in 1989, I switched to cassettes and stayed there for about the next 10 years when I finally switched to CD's.

In 2006, I purchased a Sony CD Recorder and recorded all my vinyl and cassettes on to CD's. Doing one a day, it took me over 3 years.

"And now you know the rest of the story." - Paul Harvey

:matrix:
I used to have so many cassettes. Moved around a lot after I left home so lost them at some point along the way. It used to be a real treat when my grandma would take me to the mall and I could go to the music store (I grew up on a farm in the boonies). Now my oldest son downloads all his music and puts it on my phone too. One of these days I'll get around to listening to it all. I do miss some of the albums I see you post sometimes.

That's cool. A couple of months ago, when Best buy announced they were going to quit selling CD's, I went off the deep end and ordered a .... load of CD's I don't have and finally slowed down this month. That's what I've been listening to. I have about 50 I haven't heard yet.

I've even seen Provis auto-fire, KAS. It happens. Rarely, but it happens.

Squid's a great company, and I'd buy again from them in a heartbeat. The fact that the mod is as tough as I've ever seen doesn't hurt either.

Again though, these things are all subjective. Like I said, options everywhere (just like Astro-Turf!). ;-)

@AstroTurf

I’d Vape It!!!

I am kind of surprised, I have tried looking for info on Dicodes devises, there is not too much really on ECF. I even looked at underground, there does not seem to be a lot of like for this devise. The one I am looking at is the Dani Box Mini, I am just interested in wattage mode. There is almost no info on how it functions, temp control there is tons of info. The common remarks about them, is they are hated because it has no on board charger, and they sell an expensive charging dock instead. Changing batteries is no big deal to me, I will probably end up getting one of these, even with the price being so high. Another thing about these is they have a 2 year warranty. :?:

Yeah I know it is pricey, but that is around the price that the Radius was at when it first came out. Creme De Vape has them right now at a lower price, but after the conversion and exchange rate I think that is correct. I guess I just like, that here is a company that stands behind their product. They make their own boards and devises, and also sell the replacement boards as well. I am very tempted to just order one, but I really shouldn't. I have too many bills to pay as it is. :|

UP in the diner ~~~
* Clue: Colonel Mustard did it *
Sirloin Steak Moutarde with Garlic Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges ... French makes everything sound so fancy and expensive. Case in point, moutarde, the French word for that condiment of hot dogs and pretzels: mustard. Not that I'm putting mustard down! It is the inspiration for this rich, velvety sauce with cream and butter, a sauce good enough to use on your steak and sweet potato wedges. And in case you still think I have it out for our yellow friend, I also crusted the steak with mustard and herbaceous parsley. I might not speak the language, but this steak moutarde est parfait. Bon Appetit
