I been using pretty much just the SMOKTech Spirals tanks
and today I was thinking I wanted to try something different

So I ordered two "coil-less" "Self Cleaning" tanks :?:

A Joye RFC Riftcore Duo ($38) and a joyetech RIFTCORE Solo ($20) from MVS.
I should get them on Tuesday and I will tell ya all what I think of them.

Both tanks are 26mm - 3.5ml
but the Duo has 2 RFC heaters vertical to the deck designed for 40 - 50W,
and the Solo has one RFC heater which is parallel with the deck designed for 25 - 35W.

Good luck. I've had pretty low hit rates trying out "innovative" new toppers...

But hey - if you're looking into "self cleaning" you should get one of these!!

our current RTA's the coils don't last forever. We have to change the coils every 3-6 months (closer to 3 for the subohm crowd and 6 or a little more for the lower wattage people)

Now, while these heating plates may last longer, Its curious how much longer, or if any at all?

Basically, is this a way to make RTA's disposable while still being more cost effective than something like pods or disposable coils?

I am curious your thoughts on it, not only your immediate take, but also the long term..

I have the first coil less one made and honestly don't like it. Has a big ramp up time, I just never got used to it. Hopefully they have improved over the last 3 years.

Can't wait to hear how these ones work.

It has been snowing here sense about 4:00 AM, it is supposed to snow all day, maybe as much as 6" by the time it is done. It is the first real snowfall we have had this season. I am really really glad that mother nature chose a Saturday to dump this on us, it would have been a real mess during the week days. :)

Just this past week I received my 35 year award from my employer, I picked a 70" LG UHD smart TV. The only place that I could set it up fairly quickly, was in my front room where my computer is, so I have been using it for a computer monitor sense last night. It is kind of awesome, I think that some time later it will be either moved to the living room, or possibly to the bedroom on a wall mount bracket. It is cool having a monitor this large, I certainly don't have problems reading off of this thing. :)

Joyetech claims 1 million buffs before you have to change the heating element
But even if it last 1/4 of that, 250k puffs is pretty impressive.

it began snowing here around the same time, but you must be in a different path than us because we are supposed to get snow, then freezing rain, then rain, then freezing rain, then ending with snow...

we got snow and it turned to rain already, I've not been out to see if it hit the freezing rain ever or if it was just rain, rain... so basically it will rain for a while before changing over again here.. it's 36 now in our yard, so atm it's just rain rain..

    Hopefully it will last.. :)

got milk and bread yesterday.. lol.

I watched about a dozen reviews and when they all take a hit, I don't see much of a ramp up.
But that's something else I will be curious to see.
I got a USONICIG Rhythm UltraSonic mod a few weeks ago and it has to be pulsed a few times to get a good hit.
Flavor muted and to much air flow for me :(

This review here is the one that convinced me to try the Riftcore.
I use a SMOK Spirals tank, which is a Sub-Ohm tank, vaping around 28-30w.
Around 5:00 in his review he says the two ways to compare it,
RTA or Sub-Ohm tank, but should be compared to a Sub-ohm tank and not an RTA.
If he did compare it to an RTA = 6.5 out of 10
But compared to Sub-Ohm tank and a person that is tired of buying coils <----That's Me :?:
    Sub-Ohm tank Flavor = 9 out of 10
    Sub-Ohm tank Vapor = 8 out of 10

that is interesting, but it may be too airy for me.. that's my concern anyway..

I am a restricted lung vaper who vapes around 12-15 watts most usually.. that makes my life more difficult, as RL doesn't normally vape that low a wattage I don't think..
