I'm a knitter too! Great work!
When I lived up north I knitted a lot more than now. Not much use for sweaters, scarves, etc down here. My friends are happy…i keep knitting stuff for them.
Thanks! I usually can knit one of these in a couple of months, but not this time. If you knit you would understand what sock yarn is like.

DP, no battery drain no matter if the Provari is turned on or off or if there is an atomizer attached or not. I'm really beginning to think the battery I am using is shot. I just received some new batteries so I will vape with them and compare to the battery I used in the experiment. I'm beginning to think the excessive battery drain I was experiencing in my P2 was due to the battery. The battery is 28 months old but has very little use on it. Maybe 50 charges at the very most. Perhaps age has as much to do with battery deterioration as does the number of times it has been recharged.

Nice work you did testing 'excessive' batt drain. FWIW ... on my P3's, P2.5 and upgraded P2-to-P2.5s if I leave the batt 'in', don't turn off the P, and leave it sit an extended time w/o use, eventually the fire button will begin blinking indicating low batt. So I always take the batt out, if 'it' will be unused for quite awhile.

The 1st time this happened to me a couple-few years ago, when I tested the batt, after the button was flashing, it tested at 2.8 volts. Been cautious leaving batts in ever since.

Hey Everyone,

Glad to find a Provari thread where mood is positive. I accidentally ran across the news that ProVape had already closed their doors… Most discussions I found via google search ended with people saying “how could they expect to survive without a dna or yihi chip, temp. control for stainless coils, higher max wattage, at that price range?” – I’m sure you’ve heard the counter arguments.

But maybe you haven’t seen the glowing review of the radius from JHB on Spinfuel way back in Oct. 2015. I found that too... It’s nice, she honors the company’s business model and dedication to quality. She also makes great points like “more” not necessarily being “better”.

I’m so glad I pulled the trigger on a P3 when I did (and bought a towel too). I must have missed the "we’re closing our doors – everything must go final fire sale – seriously this is it, last call, we’re done, goodbye” email. (grrrrr)

I’m bummed that one of my new favorite US manufacturers is gone – but I applaud their efforts. Love my P3… which has become a piece of vaping history, I guess.

The Deeming Sweater is FINALLY done. All of the stocking up last summer kind of put this dude on the back burner. I finally finished it last night.

Of course, we are going to be pushing 70 for a while.

Have you tried powering the thing off to see what happens?

Oh yes, I do. Size 2-3 needles and tons of stiches!
Actually for me it is 1-2 needles because I always have to go down a size or so from what the yarn calls for. I just got done casting on a new pair of purple socks, and will start on a matching sweater when they are done.

I started doing sock yarn sweaters because they took so much longer to knit, and the weight was nicer to wear for more of the sweater season.

No ... I never bothered ... as I was putting 'it/them' away for a bunch of weeks ... it was just as easy to pull the batteries. After reading your test results ... I just may experiment myself re: turning it off and leaving the batt in.

Actually the ProVarinati caps were still on special for a month after I bought mine ... I was surprised they didn't sell out faster.

The $5 Made in USA VapeProVari hats were an awesome deal ... bought 5 of them.

The #VapeProVari T-shirts I missed out on.

I emailed Bill yesterday with a question. No response yet. It was a bit of an odd request so it may fall to the bottom of his to-do list. I'll post when he replies.
Did you ask him how it feels living in a giant warehouse full of ProVari parts with a timer set for 5 years from now and nothing but bottles of scotch lined up in front of him on an empty, beat-up desk!?!??!

"Hello, I am Bill. I am THE Last ProVari Tech for planet Earth. How may I assist you in your time of crisis?"

OK, that's pretty funny.

I mean - it's not, but it IS.

Hello everyone. I've been away from ecf in general, but did hear the bad news the day it happened. I've been vaping my Radius 60 pretty consistently the past few months, and dread the day it dies (as ALL electronics die), or gets lost, stolen, whatever.

It's been fun collecting various mods and parts, but ProVape was the cornerstone of the industry. Without them, there's a big empty feeling. I'm going to be a LOT more careful with my ProVari collection, as I only have one of each! :)

Feel free to keep in touch. Life's been busy with twin girls (they're now 2 years 2 months old, can you believe it!?). Seems like only last week I was posting pictures of newborns, in now two defunct threads on this forum (ProVape, and Molehill Mountain Art Drip Tips). I'll still lurk, and eventually when life allows, be more active around here again. 'till then, keep your heads up high - we WILL prevail.
