One of them updates made it possible to shut the fire button light off while charging.
I can't remember which update it was :(
I might have to go back to the old Provape forum and do a search for updates :laugh:

i've contacted provape about it, asking them the same question,here's the answer:

"All sounds good. Those items mentioned are the latest additions. The device won't let you downgrade to a incompatible version so you should be all good. "

"Version 3 was is the latest and last. Version 40 is the same but has temp control added. The programmer should let you load either one, but since 40 does everything 3 does the only advantage of 3 is a simpler menu."

This ,makes sense. I can see where the cc does add quite a bit to the menu but it's a submenu so perhaps it would add only one icon to the main menu. Just a guess.

So do I have to install the Radius Programmer before being able to update my Radius?

yes,
here's a link & the instructions about how to do it are inside;
MediaFire
"Software updates for your Radius and P3 can be done until January 2018. While there won't be any new software updates, you will still have an opportunity to update your device if you don't yet have the latest version."
