Board came loose on this ProVari today ... I knew the day would come where I'd have to dig into the backups

How long did it last? [emoji27]

I bought it used over 2 years ago ... it is the one on the left of the 4 I had Zen do the P3 top caps on.

I am now using the one on the right (the very first ProVari I ever bought, over 3 years ago in the ECF classies).

Saving those V2s with the P3 tops for last.

It actually still works ... I just don't want the board to become damaged.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

So you don't really know how old it is? Because when you said you'd been using it for 2 years I was surprised a P would only last 2 years.

Are you having Bill fix it?

It was quite distressed looking when I first got it used (I like a well worn ProVari) ... I also have a satin V2 with a loose board, I may eventually get them fixed ... however, I do have 40 spares still.

Only 40? Hmm, I thought you had over 100 of them. Wrong person I guess.

It's nice to have a couple spares ;) takes the heat off a lil bit if one goes wonky.

Since we don't know how long Bill will be working on these, you might consider sending them (and any others) in...sooner rather than later.

This vaping business is getting shakier and shakier. Never wouldathunk ProVape would go out.... just sayin'....

I was surprised ProVape closed their doors too. But then after awhile it made sense. They made a lot of money in the time they were in business (despite someone's account saying they didn't). They hit it big and got rich. They were practical people over there so they took their gains and left the risk behind. And there were lots of risks with regulations being only one of them. The market really changed and there were lots of less expensive options leaving the ProVape products with only a small niche market. Sadly, and as I have said many times, the masses purchase on price these days. Durability has taken a back seat. This is what happens when our markets get flooded with cheap overseas products. Can't underestimate technological advances either. We've been conditioned to avoid higher tech purchases that cost a lot of money because it will be obsolete in short order. Too many reasons why ProVape was smart to get out when they did. I would likely have done the same.

I don't begrudge them their decision. I in my naïveté just assumed they would be there forever for me.

I get the why, I don't have to like it, but I do accept it. :)
