Can someone point me to a link that lists the diffs between the original P vs Procyon and P3. Ok I should no the answer but I don't.

The voice of reason…I LOVE it :)

I have this one, but it doesn't compare all 3 of those. Right before they closed, Provape also offered some higher powered ones, I think they were Procyon and P3, but I would have to really dig through emails to see which ones they were. I think they were an extra 10 watts, kind of like the Radii that came with 40W or 60W at the end.

The Procyon is 60W.

I'm pretty sure that was it for the Procyon.

The p3 was made available with 20W initially, and 30W later on.
You might be right. I just remember picking gold ones and one of them had a choice of power. I had a pair sitting in a cart waiting for me to get paid when they shut down.

The procyon sub ohms, though I don't know to what degree..

The lowest the p3 goes is .9 ohms.. both mine do 30 watt..

The stealth doesn't light up when you vape..

I believe an updated P3 will sub ohm @ .5
and the Procyon might even be .3

I read .9 was the lowest they would go..hmmm... maybe i read wrong?

Now once I did accidentally build to .88, which the p3 was reading as .9, and it fired it, but I've never tried any lower.

the iconic V2.5 was supposed to be .9 ohms

and some have gotten them to fire that low ... however, it's best to keep the V2.5 above 1 ohm

I wonder if the P3 I just bought has been upgraded to the new version. If not how would I be able to now? And is it necessary?

Checking the Firmware Version of Your ProVari P3
Press the button four times to open the menu system.
Select the “RCL” option, and then select “Info” to see the firmware version.

I stolded this ^^^ from the link about the P3 above. 41 is the last update for P3.

Also updating on my P3 repair,

For $40 I got a new screen, new O ring, updated to Ver 41, and return shipping. It should be on its way home today or tomorrow depending on the USPS pickup. I don't think that was a bad deal at all.

If you had a local B&M with the upgrade kit, you might be able to do it in person, but other than that Bill or House of Hybrids might be options for mail order. I'm really pleased with how easy it was to get this one fixed. I've got some others that are lower versions, but I'm not sure I would send in just for the upgrade.

My nephew works at a shop. I'll have to ask him. I hardly ever buy anything there. WAY overpriced except for the juice.

I've fired 2.5 minis at .87, but it was just an experiment. I'm 1.4Ω kitty.
