I think there is a lot of "What is old is new again." going on. Having said that I miss my old REO. It has a broken fire button and I have not bugged the new owner of the company yet about getting it fixed. Thinking about picking up the new ijoy Capo Squonk Box just to fill the gap and also because it's just weird.

Funny, as I look at this thing I am puffing on my 2.5 which is now over 4 years old.

... Today, I'm on a second hand gun metal P3 w/Kabuki in 18490 mode ... don't think I'm missing much ;) ... but waiting on a couple of SXK Doggystyle rba tanks that are taking forever (and a few more days) to get here.

The reason I have been picking up some of the new rigs is that ProVaris may have become the first collectable mod. As in "antique" or "classic". Four or five years from now if you have one that still works it will be like owning a 57 Chevy or a Macintosh 128K. The two I have are now my couch potato mods. They will not be leaving the house and will be babied.

Actually, I am surprised that some enterprising soul has not started up a garage shop turning broken ProVaries into mechanical mods. Let's face it the only thing to break on them is the board or wiring and that big window would make a great place for a big honking firing button.

Good plan. But none of mine have broken yet.:)

But if that 57 Chevy thing becomes true. I can pad my 401k.
Thanks!

I've fixed a bunch of REOs that I bought used, some were leaking, corroded, cracked firing pins, lol, I need to order more parts...Id say, get that one fixed sooner rather than later, no telling if Rob or the new owners bothered registering the product line with the FDA, and that deadline is in just a few weeks...

@Hobbs, squonking is like dripping without having to drip. You use a short wick in the attie, so you don't need a bunch of juice in the deck, and need to squeeze the juice bottle every few hits. Pros, pure clean saturated wick flavor, more capacity...the Grands can hold 5+ mls depending on which bottle you choose. Easy to re wick and dry burn if you are running coil gunkers. Totally re build able ( REOs), and mechanical, with the safety feature of a hot spring to protect you in case of a hard short.

Cons...if you don't vape the attie dry and pocket it, you can wind up with a wet pocket, require some level of user knowledge and require periodic maintenance to realize peak performance. I like 'em a LOT!

@ENAUD, believe it or not my REO is one of the original Variable Voltage Grands and took a different button than the regular ones. One of the problems they had was a high failure rate on the button. Like you said I need to get in touch with the new owner and see if he has any of the new buttons Rob used to fix the issue.

I've dealt with Eric and he is a good guy, he turns things around really quick too. Good Luck!

Took a quick look at e-bay couple of weeks ago and saw new in the box ProVaries with $500.00 dollar price tags.
