I did these when I was in high school for Easter. The patterns are those of typical Romanian Easter eggs.

The eggs below have leaf impressions on them. Unlike the Romanian ones which are done with wax and colors and take hours to create, the leaf eggs are easy. You press any leaf on a white egg, tightly cover it with a piece of panty hose, twist it tight and place in the dye.

Those are beautiful, Bea. All this time I've been talking to an artiste. Who knew.

Thanks Mike :). I had fun decorating them…but my passion is miniatures…of any kind.

This is my colonial kitchen…scale is 1":1'. I made everything in that room except for the two jugs (bottom left) and the blue pitcher and cup on the table.

It's a lot of fun. You can buy everything ready-made or think outside the box and come up with alternatives. I'm a scrounger and like to repurpose whenever possible.

For instance the rungs on the settee back are toothpicks. The bricks on the fireplace are 120 grit sandpaper that I colored…they feel like brick. All the pots and pans are made from buttons, lids, wood and wire. The andirons were made from the twisted portions of coathangers and the tops are buttons. I made the candles by dipping string in melted wax. I found the table set pattern in a miniatures book and cut the pueces out of basswood. The knitting on the settee is truly knitted - the yarn is string and the knitting needles are sewing pins!

I've always been curious about trying catnip. Those pics sold me. Now, do I smoke it, vape it, eat it, or bake it into desserts. Meow.

If you smoke it you'll get run over by a car. If you vape it you'll get 8 more lives. If you eat it you'll spend the night in the sandbox. No idea what happens if you bake it but let us know.
