^^^ The AW is 800mAh ... the xtar is 850mAh ... and the Vapecell is 1100mAh
Probably has something to do with the slightly different battery body lengths.

EDIT: And as far as I know, ProVape recommended the AW 18350 button top ONLY and no others?
yeah, they were pretty hard set on them AW cells, consumers did what they do and used others though

Worked 5 years as a machinist, NC machine center programmer and supervisor 1976-1981 LOL
.. also worked in QC for a few months until they hired a professional QC guy with a degree. AND spent time in inventory control and several months out of the office as a customer's order expediter. All in all it was a good gig, just had itchy feet and wanted to see the world. LaBour Pump had some two thousand applicants when they opened a facility there. I was one of the first ten people hired.

EDIT: On the job some 41 years ago ...

During the Great 18350 Hunt of 2018, all this info made me stop and think.

Mr. Wong wasn't making those AW cells, he was buying them somewhere. Unless he had an exclusive contract, that means other companies were buying them too from the actual manufacturer.

To my knowledge he never disclosed his source(s), but I'd say there's a good chance that some "AW" batteries are in stock somewhere with another wrapper - if only we knew which ones they were. Yes, everything he sold might have been "A" stock and the others "B" or worse, but at this point I'd use them in a heartbeat.

1976 ... I was 23, (semi) well educated with experience, "poop hot" and had only one GO speed. Oh to be young again LOL. I'd still want to see the world though ... and I did :) ... been on both sides of the equator and north of the arctic circle. Some 2 dozen different countries, a few more than once. Lived in 10 different states, visited a bunch more.

Got a call from Mason's vet this afternoon since there is a tumor there, got a referral to a board certified vet surgeon. Awaiting a call from Robert A. Martin, DVM Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Probably will mean a delay in surgery on Mason depending on their schedule and Mason will surely have to be examined by them first before even scheduling any surgery. Waiting for another phone call and my local vet said the office of the surgeon may not even call until tomorrow. Waiting. Gonna cost a whole lot more and involve out of town travel but I'm trying my best to do best by Mason and get him the very best there is in this region. Hang in there buddy ~~~

Vapecell batteries arrived today and as others have stated, the button tops are longer than AW's and the ProVari end caps will not tighten all the way down. Additionally, the Vapecell button tops do not work in an Ehpro Mod 101 either.

DO NOT BUY Vapecell BUTTON TOP 18350 Batteries !!! They likely will not work in anything you have ... least not without a space at the endcap.

That said, the Vapecell flat top batteries work fine in ProVari Classics and ProVari P3's ... just not in a ProVari Mini. The Vapecell flat top also works fine in an Ehpro Mod 101 as pictured and I'll greatly enjoy the extra mAh in these 1100mAh batteries :) ...

You are such a great dad to Mason. The kind of client we loved to have at our vet clinic although we also understood that some owners simply could come up with that kind of money. That was so sad.

Glad you're being referred to a board certified surgeon. Mason will ge the best care. Board certified vets, just like human physicians, spend an extra 2-3 years studying and practicing their specialty before they qualify to take the boards.

Keep us posted.

Can one no longer locate and purchase MXJO 18350's? They are only 700mAh, but they fit fine in a ProVari 2.5/Mini.

More 18350 news - Mooch just finished a test on AW batteries and the results weren't the best. It appears the change in quality I keep harping about actually did occur. He said he'd publish the test soon.

We can now mourn the loss of a great battery and turn our attention to finding a worthy replacement.

I'd never find another woman to put with my shenanigans! LOL, I got that bike stripped and boxed the good bits up, heading to the dump in a few minutes to get rid of the evidence...

Hate to break it to you Bud but you're wasting your time trying to cover your footprints. It's a wife's life-mission to know everything that you do and especially all the wrong things you do (which is nearly everything you do). You aint foolin' her. You should know that by now. She knows you better than you do. She'll come home with some purse or something that is utterly worthless that she paid $300 for and when you challenge her on it you'll hear all about your bike. Spare yourself of all the forensics cleanup and just fess up and take your punishment now.

UP in the diner ~~~
* Hey There ... Hot Honey *
Hot Honey Salmon with Zucchini and Tomatoes ... The combination of red pepper flakes, honey, and butter pairs perfectly with the flaky, delicate salmon. This tastebud explosion is served with a side of sweet basil, citrus, and garlic rub infused zucchini, tomatoes and green onions. Bon Appetit
