Hey I wrote a Children's story almost exactly like that. Only, it was a child who had been accidentally abandoned but gave some carefully hoarded nuts to a deer family and wound up being raised by the deer! Only, the king/hunter CAME! Caught the female child, etc.
It was day 6 of a day 7 fast. So I will spare you the "ending." Also, don't judge me. The story was really MOSTLY about the nuts and berries, I was STARVING so of course I was like I'm gonna write this story about giving away food while I'm starving to death, that's super unselfish.
Yeah, mainly, fasting, I don't recommend it although you know, interesting times were had, just not in THAT story.

My doritos dream on night five was way better.
LOL, we were supposed to share our dreams, so I did. In this one, the doritos in all their glorious, powdery red golden goodness were being used as currency. I think I overshared, several other fasters later admitted that Day 6 was Rather Hard and several of them ALMOST snuck, I mean hiked into town that day for some Doritos.
LOL upon our "return to discuss our fast" everyone admitted to having eaten Doritos and one of them might have been gluten intolerant, I can't remember. It might have been okay, I think Doritos are made of corn???
There was a Doritos fountain in the town square, but you got beheaded for touching it. No lie.

Timing is everything. A contractor came to look at the front porch to rebuild while I was jamming. He goes to see Jackie at work and says to her, "I didn't get to meet your Husband, he sure listens to his Rock And Roll pretty loud."
We need to clone the Iowa Attorney General! What a logical and prompt response to the FDA!

Thanks to @ENAUD inspiring me, I have ended up with four older bicycles to play with over the fall/winter. Two road bikes, two mountain.
Now that I've got all the ProVaris I'll ever need and my vape collection is bursting at the seams, time to revisit an old hobby. I really enjoy working on bikes. The first way I earned money was buying bikes at police auctions, fixing them up and selling them during the 10 speed boom in the 70's. I made a hundred bucks on my first bike and at 13, blew my Dad's mind.
Total spent on vaping this summer - $23; total spent on bikes - $190. I would have spent about $650 on cigarettes since summer started.
