I can only speak of Things Hippie from my experiences when it began and grew into a thing. So I'd offer black light posters, lava lamps, incense, Firesign Theater, beads (extra points for those made of natural materials) and a high end sound system in a room that should have been condemned years before. And at one time, definitely sitar music and tabla drums. Lastly, a McGovern for president pin.

Oh that Hippie book, what was it "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull" NEVER have I wanted to PUNCH a bird so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I actually am sad I missed the Hippie days. Although I will say, like, I have been exposed to a SHOCKING amount of Hippie Stuff, like my FIRST yoga teacher (I cheated on my first husband with two of her sons, BTW, fun fact, Manic Episode #1 to blame, although to be fair, the dudes could have withheld..... wait, what am I saying, they were like 22 year old dudes and I was like 22 and manic, I was really FUN... until I wasn't) but my point IS (and I have never cheated on anyone since, manic or not, you can control that stuff once you know what you are dealing with) but YEA yoga teacher's husband taught me TM.

Even to this day I am a little indoctrinated about sharing my special word, even though I know it's totally BS. I have been hugged by the Hugging Mama. A better guru than that opened my third eye. That was what CAUSED manic episode number one, but I guess it was good to get it over with or whatever. It really was a real thing though the third eye and I will say for a LONG time, I was slightly resentful of that dude not like, ASKING permission but in India people loiter around DECADES for that crap, so maybe it didn't occur to him but I was like DUDE I DID NOT NEED TO HAVE THAT EXPERIENCE.

I have read a lot of hippie books. Many old hippies love me. I have flirted with Sufism before deciding it was too much work.

I would totally travel with some hohos and my sleeping bag. Etc.

But Jonathon Livingston Seagull just rubbed me ALL wrong.

It's like the yuppie version of hippie literature. Something. Same goes with Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Fine dude, you might have some good things to say but I was a philosophy major. Life's a little more, you know, complicated.

Hobbs, what's that long orange snake?

Snakes & other creatures vs. coyotes & porch pirates.

Some choice. ;)

I had black lights & lava lamps all teed up, but GG beat me to 'em both.

I got nuttin' (within the rules, anyways).

Ah, a kindred soul.

And a few years later (as I remember) there was another crime against humanity - Love Story.

At the time, I got blurry-eyed at the beauty of Ali McGraw (while females no doubt had the same reaction to Ryan O'Neal) and that stopped me from walking out of the theater after the first few minutes. But there are so many words that could be used to describe the movie: Sophmoric. Smarmy. Trite. Pandering. Emotionally manipulating. And the answer to all the world's problems: All we need is love. Oh, yeah, and somebody dying off.

I always liked Jonathan living seagul, never saw the hippie aspect, I took away from it that it's ok to be different, and actually being different and driven to strive to achieve a higher consciousness was a key to spritual growth...whatever the endeavor.

Some of Jack Kerouac writings were a little out there for me, like when he was running down a mountain and realized that you cannot fall off of a mountain...yeahhhhhh, I seen plenty of videos where people can and do fall of of mountains, and it doesn't end well for them

Dvarw style with 3.5ml tank on left and DoggyStyle with 3.5ml tank on right
Both are fine atomizers and I can use either one but am shocked at how with first use, I'm liking the Dvarw over the DoggyStyle a little bit. Still waiting on a slow boat for the Ehpro True.

KHW (the company who came up with the Dvarw) does things a bit differently. The things have become harder to get as word spreads about how a very simple atty can be so good. The generally put up what they've been able to make in a week on Fridays. So no Facebook is needed to get one, just the ability to act quickly when they do their weekly (or bimonthly) stock.

German Rock Band from 1971 ... year I graduated HS
Frumpy ~ How The Gypsy Was Born

The band name "Frumpy" was a play on the female singer's last name ... Inga Rumpf. Here is Inga Rumpf 44 years later in 2015, performing the same song ... How The Gypsy Was Born
... I don't think I'd remember the words after 44 years. Shoot
