Tennessee

What a purely gorgeous voice. No vocal gymnastics required. Just smooth and easy.

A lot of folks don't realize that Tennessee Whiskey is actually an old George Jones song. Stapleton's brilliant version was no doubt destined to be a big hit, but it skyrocketed after his performance with Justin Timberlake at the CMA awards. Some consider it the best performance ever on that show.

MAN. How does the time fly so fast? I'm thinking it's the valium. Athough I only took a half dose. Sigh. Pretty soon time for yoga an all that jazz.

It could well be that I am sort of minorly happy today, that's always a possibility. But I still need to do yoga. Not to mention other people currently in the house. LOL.

I also bought Chef's stuff I bet that ate a LOT of time.

Good morning dear provarinaries. You know how sometimes some mod just becomes your favorite for a whiie for no reason? Mine is my radius with the titanium Kabuki. Not complaining either. Also I made the juice from scratch, go me. Except I didn't write it down and can't recreate it, LOL dumb me

Along with a great cast of characters, I'm enjoying this place a whole lot because of all the winding paths the music links are taking me on.

I ran across this peformance and I'm stil shaking my head. Looks like the people you'd see at your local gas station, with a couple of small portable amplifiers, and set up on a small patio of a southern BBQ shack. It's blues - pure whisky joint get up and dance blues - and I can't imagine how you could sit still as it builds and builds.

The guitar player is Joanna Connor, and what she does to her guitar a few minutes into the song might be illegal in some states :D. Yeah, well, I stole that comment from Youtube but it perfectly fits. Seriously, it's among the best for technique and music sense I've ever heard and that's coming from a huge Stevie Ray Vaughn fan. The other three people in the band are totally competent but they're honestly just along for the ride.

Like a lot of things, I get mixed emotions. Pure joy hearing somebody just nailing the moment. And sadness because there has to be others out there as good as this who'll never gain an audience.

There's about 2 minutes of tuning, warm up, and chitchat at the beginning. Promise, it gets better. This is NOT a polished producton.

Steel's balls are being cut off 08Jul. Any recovery advice? Girl on phone at vet's office said two weeks but that's all she said. We were going to take my Jeep in for it's 3 year/25,000 mile rust proofing check in the city on 10Jul but moved the appointment to August as we didn't want to leave him alone that soon. Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I've never gone through this (well, I had a vasectomy ) before and am worried for the little guy. Thank you in advance! :thumb:

Staring out the window, forlornly asking himself "Why didn't I get a vote?"
I know, right? I told Jackie he is going to hate us. I feel bad... :( I mean, he absolutely loves going to the vet. So much so, they gave us sedatives to give him before his visits. Well, geez, what a betrayal that day.

If Steel will be sporting the CoS (cone of shame) after his surgery, you may want to make sure that you have food and water bowls that will fit inside his cone, and be prepared for some spillage while he adjusts to his new accessory. If you have any breakables that will be in the cone zone, you might want to put those away for a while as well. The first few days will be the worst for clumsy critter crashes, but they do seem to adjust fairly quickly.

I've only had cats neutered, and their biggest complaint seemed to be the draft "back there" until their fur grew back again. The boys never had to wear a cone because cats are assembled differently than dogs. Depending on how long the vet holds him post surgery, Steel may be under the influence of anesthesia and need to be kept quiet for an overnight/next day. For the most part, I think surgery is harder on us people than our pets.
(((hugs)))
