I have had a busy week for a staycation. On Monday and Tuesday I got called into work for a few hours, so I got paid for an extra 5 1/2 hours, over the top of my vacation pay. I did not get to start any of my home projects till Wednesday. So first thing I did was cut out a bush that was way to overgrown, and it had vines and weeds growing threw, and all over it. I think it took me about 4 hours to get it removed, I still have to cut and bag up all the debris. I think it was around 90 degrees, so after that I spent the next several hours scraping the paint on a 10' x 10' section of the south side of my house, then got the area that I had finished primed. Right after I got done it started pouring down rain. (glad I used oil based primer)
Then yesterday I got some of the caulking done before going to my brothers house, for the celebration, which was a blast.
Today I got the upper section of that wall scraped and primed, so tomorrow I do a bit more caulking, then another coat of primer. That leaves me 3 more days to get 2 coats of paint on and maybe the small amount of trim. if I have the time I still need to cut the bush stump down more, and start bagging debris. I have one more bush that needs more trimming, and grass seed to plant, but the front already looks a hell of a lot better. There is a lot more painting and repairs I need to do this year, but this is a good start.
